Very nice waitress .. very good food
Very cool atmosphere in there, and the beer selection was huge!! Certain menu items seemed overpriced ($8 cup of chowder, $41 steak) and others were reasonable (the chicken pot pie). Nonetheless, I had to try the clam chowder. It was creamy for sure, with chunkier than normal potatoes (which is a good thing) and a generous amount of bacon bits. For $8, it was on the cusp of being worth it. I think $6 would be a much better price point. My wife got a pepperoni pizza, and it was a super dense pizza.. Definitely requires two meals to eat. There was so much cheese on there and the pepperoni was cupped and crispy. My wife said that the cheddar cheese was overpowering and it took away from the other flavors in the pizza.. Nice and airy yet firm crust. My chicken pot pie was massive! The cheesy puff pastry was a nice compliment to the gravy filled mixture of carrots, chicken, and peas. It was one of my favorite pot pies I've ever had. The service was decent, tho I asked for a straw and the waiter never got it for me. I had to ask the manager for one while he was making his rounds.. Also the membership program was pushed on us rather aggressively even though we said we weren't from around here. All in all, a solid 4 star experience.
Food was delicious and service was friendly and quick. Will definitely be back to try more from the large menu. I had the Chicken pot pie which was so good and had plenty for a second meal, and my husband enjoyed his burger. Their fries were some of the best we have had in a restaurant in a while - not the standard frozen ones you get everywhere.
We frequent this restaurant often. We love the selection of beers. Service is usually really good. We have servers there who we love and treat them well. Our last visit was an exception. The restaurant was not crowded, mid-afternoon on a Sunday. Often we will ask for a particular server, as there are several we really like, but this time we didn't. Wish we would have. The person who seated us turned out to be our server. She seated us in her section. She didn't introduce herself. When we asked her name, she said oh sorry, I'm really bad at introducing myself. No kidding. She brought water and took our drink order. We ordered food and when it came we had to ask for silverware. She didn't stop by to see if our food was ok until well into the meal and never came back to see if we wanted more drinks. Never offered dessert. Never refilled our waters....we don't want servers hovering, but we don't want to feel forgotten or ignored, either. We will definitely ask for servers we know from now on. Generally, we love this place. Yesterday, not so much.
I have eaten here too many times to count. They serve some of the best burgers and beers in town. The large rotating beer menu ensures there's always something new and delicious to try each time you visit. The food menu includes everything from burgers to pasta to pizza, all exquisitely crafted and flavored to perfection (including vegetarian, vegan, and dairy free options if desired). Servers are all knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. The inside seating can get a little noisy during peak hours, however during most parts of the year the patio is sparsely populated and quieter. This place is absolutely worth the visit, especially for those looking for local beers and good modern pub food.
The picture is of the dirty water glass I was given. This was followed by the burger I was sold that was made of a deplorable frozen burger patty.. For thr prices one should be able to expect better. We've all had a hard year but no one deserves to be swindled in this way. The good side, our waitress was lovely. You may as well do fast food for less money.
A group of us went for lunch. The server took our orders without writing them down. Different servers brought the food to the table. My food wasn't included. The gal asked what I ordered and left. I figured she just forgot to grab it. Twenty minutes later I still did not have my lunch and everyone else at the table is trying to eat slow, waiting on my meal to arrive. Our server finally came back to our table (without my lunch), and all she said was she would take $10 of the bill (my order was $18) "because they are taking so long", basically blaming the cooks. She didn't say, "I'm sorry, we'll get it out to you as soon as possible. Do you want anything while you wait?". Nothing like that. She didn't tell the cooks to hop on it because she screwed up. I literally sat there, watching everyone else eat for probably ANOTHER 15-20 minutes before my lunch arrived. At this point everyone else was done eating and two people at our table had to leave. She did end up comping my meal after I said she should, telling me '"I told you I was going to do something!" Did that something include making me feel incredibly awkward for forty minutes? I have never had this happen at a restaurant. How embarrassing sitting there like that. Clearly the others felt a little awkward too. I would have said something to management but figured a server wouldn't treat a customer like that if they didn't allow it. Needless to say I really don't ever want to go back and the story is so unbelievable that I will be telling everyone I know. I've read other poor reviews which only get canned responses. I've posted other reviews which seem to disappear once posted. Not really fair when people have the right to know what others experience.
We came in for lunch on a weekday. We ordered the Big Daddy burger and Greek pizza. They have pickles in the place to put on burgers. The fries were perfectly salted and the best part of our meal. The rest of the food was average but the price not. It was expensive. They also add a tip to your bill for non-stop employees.
This is a very good place to go moderately priced. I had the Bangers' and Mash, which were excellent as was the fish and chips. I do expect the menu changes according to the time of year for their specialty food, but it all seems great in any case.
We came in here for lunch. This place was super busy and a ton of fun. I ordered the Jamaican jerk chicken sandwich. The sandwich was incredible. The fries were perfect. Overall the staff was very friendly. They have so many menu options. I will be back to try more items.
