Super chill staff, quiet homey atmosphere, and good simple home-style classic American fare. Will return to try the pie! We were too full last time! Love that they have portion options. I got a small order of lemon pepper chicken with rice pilaf and broccoli and I could eat it every day-perfectly portioned for my taste; my partner got a chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli and it was a huge portion that sated him more than enough. I'd say there's something for everyone in this friendly little establishment. PS: The coffee is waaayyy better than expected.

The food here was really good but my food experience was over shadowed by the racist behavior of one of the host named Maddy. Not only did she try and sit my black family at the back corner table with damaged seats. The upholstery was badly ripped and would be obviously uncomfortable. It would have been more understandable if the restaurant was full however, she tried to sit us there in a mostly empty restaurant with plenty of other seating available. I then watched as she sat other small groups of white families and then sat a different black family in the same messed up seats she tried to offer me. Mind you there were still other seats available then as well. My server apologized for her actions stating they were having someone come to fix those seats really soon, however when providing good customer service the damaged seats and table should be avoided for all customers until they are properly tended to.

This place is horrible. We used to stop here from time to time but last time was the worst.Sit at your table watch drug deals right outside the window Hookers strutting down 99 And homeless accosting you looking for a handout.Or sit in a booth who’s seats are cracked patched with duck tape. Then look out and see rotting facia and rain rotted eves. This place needs to be shut down and be given a total remodel. The building is deteriorating and fast.So many homeless using the bathroom they require a code and those were filthy..I can’t believe they keep this place open givin the state of the building.I do not feel safe here. Please pass on this location.Shari’s in Lynwood is much better..

Food was OK, but I ordered through an app and they put the drinks inside the bag and I didn't get the drinks I ordered. Kinda makes the driver look bad for not checking but then again, how can he check to make sure when the drinks are also inside the bag? Maybe staff needs to pay more attention

So I've been waiting in excess of 40 minutes for 1 meal. And It took 25 minutes from walking in the door to the point of ordering food. So. I've already been here an hour. It seems like there is only one cook working on a Saturday night and she is new. Whatever is holding this location back from retaining kitchen staff (wages, management, etc.), please work on fixing it. I'm about to be here 2 hours for a sandwich and fries. My waitress is doing her best to keep up with whatever is going on here.I'll update my rating the next time I have a better experience. I'm a regular customer.

Service was great, but the food was a 3/10 at best.. the coffee and the pie were what you'd expect, but the rest wasn't up to even Shari's standards. It was about 430 with minimal customers, so no reason really to justify the lack of decency in the dishes. Our server was great, though.

I came to this location today, and sat down with my 72 year old mother for coffee. We both had eaten breakfast, and we wanted to enjoy coffee together while waiting for my son to be dropped off to us by his mother. We were rudely notified that we were only welcome to sit for coffee for 30 minutes, unless we ordered food after being here for approximately 10 minutes. I am absolutely appalled by this. My mother and I planned to spend our weekend with my son together after not being together for several months. I am sure that you can do better than this.

Good food with a friendly staff. At a reasonable price. And pies and drinks. A great place for an after graveyard shift breakfast and mimosas.

Ok, we've been sitting here about 45 min. Sat for 15 before having the get the waitress to come take our order: 30 min ago! We ordered a Caesar Salad, a chicken quesadilla, and a piece of pie. There are exactly 4 other tables. 4 take away orders have come in... Not exactly busy here... 40 min later, get our food. Had to get the waitress again to come over to even acknowledge we are here. Here well over an hour for a salad and quesadilla, seeing the waitress 4 times - flagging her every single time. An hour and 45 min! I will NEVER come back.

Good food. Good princes. Good service. What else could you want?
