I went under the old management and the food was terrible. Its now under new owners but unfortunately it is owned by the same people who own vault 177, which is the only other place in Richmond Beach that gave me a worse experience than my original trip to royal unicorn. So I definitely will not be giving it a second chance.
Great little neighborhood restaurant and bar. Mongolian beef was my favorite, but not sure now since it's under new ownership. Hope they kept the cook.
this placed is closed for renovation, their answering machine said they'd reopen January 2022 but it's Feb now so who knows.

This was the worst place I've ever been to me and a friend came for lunch we ordered a lunch menu a $15 each it looked like maybe $7 worth of food and when I gave him $16 he threw the change at me on the table and told me to keep it very rude didn't turn the lights on and the rice was dry that's very insulted I'll never come to this place ever again I highly recommend not going to this place

I ordered two egg rolls and Chef's Specialty, Chicken with Special sauce. I'd ordered this before, and the meal was excellent.This time, there was a 40 minute wait as they were very busy. I picked the food up and went home to find General Tso's chicken and two greasy spring rolls.They made me drive back to the restaurant to return it.They actually made me drive back and return the food to them to fix their mess up.I'm tempted to give one star.
Ordered the Unicorn Dinner for 2. Service was great---it was ready by the time I drove to pick it up. Happily tipped them over and above, but when we got the food home, it was so disappointing and barely edible. The wontons, "steak cubes," pork, and eggrolls were overcooked and obviously deep fried in very, very, VERY old oil that left everything tasting burnt and greasy. Yuck! The soup and sauces on the entrees were very thick, gelatinous, and tasteless. We won't return, which is a shame because we're trying to support local restaurants during the Covid lockdown.
