If I can give this place no stars I would. The owners were absolutely rude. The first time I went here I fell in love with the atmosphere and owners. Very friendly and understanding. The second round I came and I brought friends to introduce them to this spot. The owners were not accommodating and when my guests were not happy with their dish and asked to swap it with another we were given attitude and was told that we were going to be charged for the new plate as well even if they had one bite and did not like it. They had a guitar player there, when we arrived and sat they informed to us that they are here and so let got paid with tips. We were using the laundry mat next door and when we left after paying the owner proceeded to follow us into the laundry mat and slam the change we left as tip onto the washer machine and proceeded to yell at us saying he doesn’t want our tip since he had to remove the dish. I work in the community and I know a lot of people who dine here. When I told them this story they already knew about the owners attitude. I normally don’t write nothing negative but I can not tolerate owners being completely rude to their customers new or old. The food is not worth the attitude and negative attitude from the owners. Not worth the stress.

The music was amazing and we loved our waitress. Our table was positioned in a main walkway, I understand with a popular band that the restaurant was trying to add as many tables as possible but the owner was angry and aggressive toward me because my chair was in the walkway. He passive aggressively knocked my coat on the floor and walked on it and told me angrily to take my purse off the back of my chair. His manner and tone were very rude when it was not my fault I was sitting in a walkway.

Gem of a place! Live music, cozy setting and great drinks and food. What more can you ask for?! Their hours are limited so plan accordingly. There was no cover charge for music on the night we were there. I heard the cover charge on some nights is about $20. My favorite menu items were the cauliflower appetizer and the risotto (comes with scallops). Steak bites and meat patties were also enjoyed by others in our group.

North City Bistro was very pleasant, but also very odd. It's very schizophrenic with multiple personalities. I was perplexed and bewildered as were my companions. North City Bistro is a wine shop. No, North City Bistro is a small restaurant. No, North City Bistro is a bar. No, North City Bistro is a tavern with bands. Huh? What? Where? Who?A kind of bland wine shop decor greets you as you walk into North City Bistro. Shelves are lined with wine bottles for sale. A bar is to your right, but no one bartends behind the bar. It's just there, reminding me of the Zion curtain I experienced in Salt Lake City. Round top tables are where you sit with both food and drink menus. The food was quite good, but the cocktails were weak. Suddenly, a band set up in front, dressed like a Texan Country Western group. The music was okay, but with a decided twang. The mood is relaxed and disorganized, charming in an annoying way, but everyone is kind. Surprisingly expensive, our bill for three people was over $230.00. I might return, but only if a band I liked was playing.

We went to see some live music. There's a pricey cover charge but the music was really good. The food was excellent. Delicious pork loin with cream sauce. Good portion size of antipasto. Wonderful cheeses and salami. Very delicious seafood pasta. The prices were reasonable. We picked a great Italian Amorone wine off the shelf. The corkage was pretty steep, 12.00 given we had appetizers, full dinner and 20.00 cover. But the wine was fantastic and a fair price. Lots of wines from most important wine regions. The shelves are full and the prices fair. We'd definitely return. Service was very good especially given it was a full house. Small venue, quaint and enjoyable.

I went for a live music night with Joel Astley and friends and wow, that was a great experience! The owner was extremely helpful and nice, amazing service, delicious food (the fish and chips were bomb). You have to make reservations ahead of time and show proof of vaccination at the door, so even though there were many people in the room it still felt quite safe. I’ll definitely be back!

Thanks to Ray and Sharon for providing a great place for so many talented artists to do their thing. The music is always top notch, the food is incredible (Scallops w/ Risotto is my favorite), and it's always a great time.

Close, tightly packed room, but comfortable. Soft lighting, exceptional wine selection. The wonderful, smooth vocalizations of Gail Pettis backed by her talented quartet. Hot and delicious shrimp fettacini paired with a perfect chardonnay. Fantastic. A winner all the way.

Amazing food and fantastic music !
