Got myself a pastrami sandwich on a bike trip to this bakery. Everything is a bit pricey here but the pastrami was really special. I was suggested to eat it fresh and it was a pleasant experience. Pickel was juicy and was quite good. I also got a sesame cookie and it was great. The staff is super hospitable. They have some open space to sit and enjoy your food. If you are really hungry go for the bigger portion. Its still small.

This has been my favorite bagel place I’ve tried so far in Seattle. I got their breakfast sandwich with pastrami, a macaroon and a chocolate babka. All were fantastic. Will def be back again to try more.

Very disappointed. Placed an order for Fathers Day nearly a week ahead of time and when I arrived at the designated time not only did I have to wait 30 minutes but they had run out of half of the variety of bagels I ordered including my husbands favorite which made up half the order. I realize this is a busy day but people who place and pay for orders ahead of time should be a priority. I also ordered black and white cookies that were raw and clearly packed while the frosting was still wet. Ruined my entire Fathers Day spread. Never coming back. UPDATE: After seeing this review Zylberschtein's issued me a full refund and an apology. It was very appreciated.

This place has no idea how to make a croissant. They burn it to make it crunchy. I asked for a less burnt one and was told they are all the same shade.

Pricey but worth it for an occasional splurge. My partner and I shared the bagel and lox ($18), which came with a decent amount of lox on a heavenly bagel and delicious chive cream cheese. We also split three different baked goods - the croissant, filled brioche donut, and raspberry rugelach - and they were all fantastic. Also the plain drip coffee was delightful! We took home a half dozen of the bagels, plain, sesame, poppyseed, and everything ($13). Definitely coming back!Update 4 days later: the bagels grow stale super quickly so only grab as many as you're able to eat in maybe 2 days? Six between just my partner and I was too many!

Ordered Thanksgiving dinner in 2021. Did not receive all of the food ordered., but did not realize until on the way home. Have had multiple conversations with staff and owner about a refund for the missing food, and as of now, have not received anything. Also, the food was not great. The gravy had no flavor and resembled wallpaper paste, and the stuffing was just a bag of huge strips of bread and a recipe card. We will not be going back.

Gotta get this out of the way first. We are ex-New Yorkers and have an obsession with bagels. These bagels are way too small, barely the size of my fist. The size I think contributed to their denseness and how tough they overall were. The flavors are good, but for the size and the fact that they're not extra special, the prices are just too high. The pastrami sandwich also had a lot of potential to be delicious, but they fell short; the tender texture along with the fattiness of the cuts were perfect, but the flavors were just not there. They were somewhat bland and without additional toppings it seemed one-note, almost. The bialis had some real good onion filling, but the texture, again, did not really feel like what we are used to.I really wanted to like this place and they did everything else right -- good and quick, friendly service, knowledgeable staff etc. Maybe it'll be better when I go back, eventually.

Delicious homemade tasting food from a top-notch bakery that has pastrami sandwiches, cookies, and half a dozen more things I now regularly enjoy which do not disappoint. I trek across the city for their amazing rye bread (Weird shape but awesome taste).

Though I'd be hard-pressed to get the name right in a spelling bee, Zylberschtein's has the finest Corned Beef and/or Pastrami sandwiches on the planet! And their baked good are equally good. They pull back on the sugar just enough to let the flavor of the dough and fruit to shine through. Simply awesome!

Phenomenal bagel and lox. There is no indoor eating options and a healthy line outside but it’s well worth it. The bagels, hot and fresh. The lox the perfect mix of salty and crisp. I had the cilantro and pepper cream cheese and it was epic. I took out some pastrami for later and it was really really fatty. Stick to the bagel and lox!
