The venue is classic old school Seattle. You can feel the history of it and the photo collages on the walls of the back hallway are great. The wait staff are funny and attentive without being overbearing. First time having dinner and what we ordered was pretty good. I had the short ribs with gnocchi and my partner asked for a vegan version of the spaghetti with marinara. I want to try one of their specialties like the lasagna next time. That isn't gluten free, but I like the fact that they do offer a gluten free pasta for some of their dishes. We went to hear the jazz band. The house sound system was good, but the drummer had a separate amp and appeared to be playing a drum pad on his lap. It sounded like a car dragging full cans that hopped down the road. Very pingy and cringy. It seemed like he was a stand-in drummer who has to pawn his full kit. It was comical and entertaining but painful on the ears at times. Strange that nobody seemed to notice. We will go back for a different band next time.
Service was very good.
Vito's is a lovely Italian restaurant where you can find a selection of amazing apps and dishes with friends. Their wait staff are knowledgeable with their menu and drinks. And I could tell that timing, along with attention, are something they've excelled at for their guests. Definitely an amazing spot to get away from your own life grind.Plus there's a live band that plays beautifully!
Decent food and good drinks. Ambiance is dated and restaurant smells quite dank. But staff is friendly and service is reasonably fast.
The bruschetta was "meh", perhaps hard to get good tomatoes in the winter, chicken picatta was good, but nothing spectacular. The ambience is dark and interesting, but the waitress was unattentive and awkward, literally throwing down our plates in front of us. We asked specifically for separate checks, and she said that would be "ok", but then presented us with one check at the end.
Always amazing food, service and ambiance. Beware, there are two doors to get in and it's often drafty. Sit away from the door or bring a coat. A lovely classic!
This italian restaurant had good reviews. We ordered some bruschetta, chicken picata, chicken Parmigiano and tiramisu. Was disappointed. The chicken piccata seamed over cooked and dry. The pasta with it was definitely overcooked not al dente. The chicken Parm was eh at best. The bruschetta had barely hints of garlic and basil. The use of cherry tomatoes just was akward to try to eat. The tiramisu tasted like it came from a box. For the price i paid I wouldve been better off going to olive garden. At least id expect the disappointment.
My wife and I arrived without a reservation. The hostess kindly accommodated us. We appreciated that they require proofs of vaccination. Our entrees were excellent. The cocktails were well prepared and customized. The wine list has many diverse choices. OMG - one portion of tiramisu was more than enough for both of us. The waitstaff took good care of us. The live piano music was an added treat. It is dimly illuminated...charming and glad we had a flashlight on our cellphone to read the menu.
Good food, good jazz. We loved it. Very authentic.
Excellent food and service, but a bit too dark for my taste. What the offer is pretty standard Italian food, nothing unusual or adventurous. Under the old owners there was dish with tiny squid an octopi that was amazing.
