Very good, wish I had looked into this place a lot sooner. Definitely want to go back and try more things. I had the prawns in red sauce and the Bien Salad. Both were delicious. The salad was simple but very good, wish I had ordered two of them! The prawns and rice was so good, nice garlic flavor. I asked for a 4 out of 5 on the spice level but it wasn't spicy at all so maybe they forgot but it was fine because it was so delicious and I added some spice at home. Very good food. The staff was super nice and helpful. Always looks busy when you go by it but they are very quick with making the food so don't worry about it. Not a lot of parking but with how quickly the food comes out it shouldn't take long to find a place to park. They do have some outdoor seating but seems like it's primarily a take out spot. Can't wait to go back!

One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! We enjoyed every bite. (Chicken thigh sandwich and prawn entree!) even the side salad was out of this world

Absolute favorite joint in Seattle. Their Cuban sandwiches are out of this world. The caramelized onions and aioli sauce burst with flavor, and in my opinion, are the stars of the show. For any fellow vegetarians out there, the Tofu Delight is on point. Love the jalapeños that give it the perfect kick too. My husband and I would eat here every week if we could! Also, the gentleman who always rings us up is fantastic- super funny and full of life! Any day we get to have Un Bien is a very good day.

This, in my opinion, is the #1 place to eat (experience) in Seattle. The Caribbean Roast sandwich is such a perfect blend of ingredients. When I take a bite, I have to close my eyes and fully appreciate the symphony of flavors that are performing for my taste buds. Sounds corny, I know, but I am not over exaggerating. The aioli sauce, blended with the pickled jalapeños, and the cilantro, atop the most succulent, fall apart pork shoulder roast (which has been marinated in whatever heavenly concoction of spices they have created), makes for a culinary experience you must try while in Ballard. Trust me… and if you don’t agree, I’m sorry, but you got somethin’ wrong with your taste buds Mon!

Super cool sandwich place. Feels like a food cart but with undercover outdoor seating. The sandwiches are large and delicious. We also tried Caribbean Salad (#17). It had a nice kick to it.

I've been coming here for many years, since they were known as Paseo and were around the corner from home in Fremont. They were just steps away from the old Buckaroo, and I've enjoyed nearly every dish on the menu with a beer there. Now I live far away, but I stop by for a "fix" anytime I am near. It is addictive, you are warned. Before I get to my most recent meal, I'll add that when you wait in line you're bound to hear someone recommending meals and sandwiches to a first timer. What is unique is that over time I have heard folks raving about their favorites, and that list includes, roast pork, grilled pork, thighs, and anything in red sauce. I concur, any of these would be the menu star in most establishments. But the sides are insane too, the vegan beans and the onions are do not miss! For me the chicken thighs and roast pork are absolutely insane and truly addictive. They are worth making an effort to try on your trip to Seattle. These are fine dining great chef tv show cook book quality dishes. I have not been able to come even close to getting the flavors correct at home. And of those, I believe the roast port sandwich is an iconic. Unique, delicious, greater than the sum of its parts, and you can't make it yourself, not even close. A comment on the Cuban/Caribbean theme - This place is unique and better. Go for the food, not the theme. By all means try the other excellent items on the menu including tofu. It is all excellent. It had been six months or more since my last visit, and my whole body was craving a Caribbean Roast pork sandwich by the time I searched parking. I parked a block away amid the local homes and walked over. Your right on the main street as you walk up to the colorful building with adjacent outdoor covered seating for about twenty. There is a bus stop right there. Read the menu and figure out what you want. I strongly advise against modifications, these are perfectly crafted sandwiches, every time regardless who cooks and assembles them. You order at the window and they'll scream out your name when your order is up. They do take cards, though for a long time they were cash hold outs. I chose to dine in. I was ravenous having fasted for a doctor appointment, and now to feast! The smell of that roast pork and garlicy sauce as you unwrap your messy sandwich. Get a plate if you are worried about messiness, just add a side of onions if you do. If your hands are small be sure to unwrap as you go otherwise the whole thing could just slide apart. Keep your sandwich together so you get everything in every bite to get the best possible scrumptiousness for maximum pleasure. Yum. The Marcina bread is the basis of the whole thing; one of Seattle's great bakeries. This bread is the perfect size, crumb and chew and just soaks of the sauces and juices without being tough nor falling apart. It tastes great too of course. The garlicy sauce is addictive and probably makes shoes edible. The fall apart tender pork with its magical spicing...unbelievably good. The thick cut grilled and roasted onions, I'm not exactly sure what they do, but these are simply awesome, and I get a side almost every visit. Sliced pickled jalapeños are not too spicy and help add a zing to some bites, it's more the pickle-y aspect than the spicy aspect that really ups the flavor. And lastly, the crunch of that romaine lettuce delivered as a full leaf with spine, perfect textural element both for its lubrication and the symphony one hears when chewing this great work of art. When they run out of bread they run out of sandwiches. This happens on nights when they have days significantly busier than forecast. Getting takeout and having a pre-planned nearby spot to enjoy your meal is a great strategy. Bring supplies to get a good hand cleaning in before and after eating. It's worth it! This isn't the Cuban press sandwich you get in Tampa or Miami and it isn't trying to be. It's its own thing. They do make a The Press sandwich which is more of a riff on that. Just go. A

Un Bien is rightly famous for its splendid flavors. The sandwiches are sizable, on scrumptious chewy bread rolls and the fillings are terrific. This is hearty, filling fare. The service is fast and friendly. Just wish they had a bit more space farther back from a busy road!

The fire roasted corn here is one of the best things I've eaten in the world. Loaded with phenomenal flavors. I finished it before I could pause for a breath.Their west carribean bowl is fantastic too. I love the flavor of their beans - its sweet and sour and all sorts of amazing. The pork roast sandwich is sitting in my fridge and I can't wait to eat it tomorrow.Like the other reviewer here mentioned - they are testing out a new spicy orange sauce. I got one of the last ones tonight. It packs a decent punch in terms of spice, and a lot of oomph. Try it out if you're adventurous.Last but not least - the staff at the counter (Lucas) were super warm and helpful.Easily one of my favorite food experiences in Seattle, and I'm not exaggerating when I say top 10 all around.

Ordered a #4 Palomilla Steak and a #27 Prawn Entree. Both are fantastic! Tried Un Bien for the first time today. The 1.5k reviews did not disappoint. Great place to get a sandwich or a meal.I will say, if you have to park, street parking in the neighborhood is the only option. So forewarning, you might have to walk a bit. That doesn't ruin the experience though.Great food, super friendly cashier, will recommend!*Lastly, the little plastic cup with the orange sauce is a new hot sauce they are sampling. If you want a little extra kick, not too spicy but a low mild heat, ask to see if they still have the little orange hot sauce.

Amazing Should have taken a photo but couldn't wait to eat lol. Caribbean roast sandwich was off the chain!! Messy but the messier the better the food tastes!! I'm from San Diego California working up here and this sandwich alone was well worth the trip. Awesome job guys!! And thanks for the luv to us medical workers.
