Finally stopped by here when I was midway through an urban hike, trying to keep myself entertained as it started raining (hard). The gal who was ringing me up was so sweet and kind, giving me all the info on their menu and walking me through best sellers. I didn't realize they roast their own coffee! I got an oat milk latte and a croissant egg sandwich with turkey. They make it with this super yummy mayo so good I remembered to mention it in this review This place made the worst weather brighter - yum yum! Thank you!
Cute atmosphere. However extremely sour espresso shot. Would recommend for vibes, but not for espresso heavy drinks
Old school cafe with a cozy vibe and lots of university students. Food and coffee aren’t anything special though
Nice, quick service. Cute place. Easily was one of the best coffees I've ever had. I ordered an iced lavender oat milk latte which is my regular order at most places, but this one tasted much better than all the others I've had. My friend that accompanied me, that had a different coffee drink, also agreed one of the best coffees he's had in Seattle. I'd definitely go back! Also one of the few places open early on a Sunday morning in that part of U District/ the "Ave".
Ugly Mug always has fast and friendly service. I love the vibe inside too, very cozy. Tables are sparse so don’t expect to find seating right away!

I tried Jake's, Solstice, and Leon before finding this place. Ugly Mug was the only one that didn't burn my latte. The cafe itself was cozy and comfortable. The wifi was good. Music was chill. I think this is my spot!

They are fast and efficient. The line was moving non-stop. Small intimate seating space and lively. They use local ingredients and have fresh coffee. Since it is busy you need to pay attention to your order when it's called as it happens quickly. I walked by two cafes on the way and the lines were out the door, this place kept that from happening. There is also outside seating. The outside seating area was covered in trash though. The barista was willing to answer all questions and I didn't feel rushed. A solid Cafe with good coffee.
It’s a cozy little spot with great coffee and a friendly staff. Prices are reasonable and the coffee is just superb. They offer the beans they use for sale and have merchandise of their cafe as well. Highly recommend
