Sad it's not in its original historic spot, but it's really nice and open. The acoustics were good and it still has the small venue feel to it. Maybe better fans for the hot shows like Prof. It was still great though.
First time at the venue to see Alok and Shea Diamond. I like that space, feels open, it’s not big and the chairs for the show were laid out with great leg room. The bathrooms were clean and I liked discovering this event space.
What a cool venue. I love that there are three stages/venues in one building. Madame Lou's downstairs is especially fun. Be aware drinks are pricey!
The band was amazing, but the new venue separates 21+ and under 21. This was not specified when we purchased tickets. Everyone under 21 is corralled into a small region near the side of the stage. I would NOT recommend attending a show at The Crocodile unless you're 21+ and don't have kids (as they will be separated from you). Very disappointing because all of my experiences at the old venue were positive. Another reviewer described it best: if you're under 21, you'll end up feeling like you're at the "kid's table" at a family dinner.
Enjoyed the venue great show. Enjoyed Van Epps farewell show and Mean Genius.
What an awesome venue! The staff were nice! Bar and drink options were great! AND the bathrooms were CLEAN!Great, relatively intimate, venue for catching a show. Plenty of room to dance.Apparently there are rooms upstairs, but I did not stay in house. Sounds like a fun option!
Love the new Crocodile in Belltown. The main floor is huge and spacious, with great sound. Add in the easy access to the other two, new spots they opened, Madame Lou's and Here-After, this spot can't be beat
We went dancing at the Pink Noise night at Crocodile. It was in the side club that’s attached. There weren’t many people so we had the place to ourself. The vibe had no creepiness and we actually met people! The music was super fun but there were gaps of dub reggae which I love but not on the night it’s House and Top 40. It was more Hip hop than house. I didn’t order drinks but the bar didn’t have a line. It was really dark in there and there were places to sit. The Dj was on a huge stage, wish they were closer so we could all jam together. Or maybe we shoulda got in stage!
Went to Madame Lou's to see ALO, and it was WONDERFUL! Acoustics were excellent, crowd was awesome, water easily accessible. Stairs out were a challenge with the charlie-horses I was experiencing from dancing so hard, but well worth it!
genuinely a cool venue but advertising a show as all-ages and then corralling all under 21 (and guests who are accompanying them) into a small section that doesn't allow for dancing, movement, or moshing- at a hardcore show- was really misleading and unfortunate. definitely could've been done better as many venues in Seattle don't have this problem. my group of 20-21 year olds couldn't even lean against the metal barrier placed between the (very large) 21+ section because of the drinks placed on it. Under 21s have a small corner section of the stage available to them and it might as well have been a 21 only show. Under 21s paid the same GA price as everyone else and as a group we couldn't stay for the entire 4+ hour scheduled show which was very disappointing. wish they advertised this divide better.
