Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans were delicious. However they definitely work on the Mac N Cheese. The Mac N Cheese I received was completely broken. For us food criticks. Broken is bad. Loose, noodles, loose cheese. Nothing combined. Mac N Cheese was not good.
Black-owned and locally founded, The Comfort Zone did NOT disappoint. I had the meatloaf, mac and cheese, and yams and I have ZERO complaints!The meatloaf was the best I've ever had from a restaurant, hands down. I enjoyed the layer of baked cheese on top of my macaroni, it was perfectly crunchy. The yams were very sweet and rich, a perfect dessert for a comfort food meal.I can't wait to eat more food from here, and I will definitely be recommending The Comfort Zone to my friends and family!
Why hasn't anyone told me about this great place? I have been visiting Columbia city for years and didn't know about the great catfish! Especially loved the tartar sauce; best I've ever had. Didn't have room for sweet potato pie, unfortunately.
This place has AMAZING food, great customer service and a very clean environment. I suggest you guys try this place if you haven’t already, best soul food in town
The food is AMAZING! If ever in the Seattle, WA area I suggest you to try this spot out!! The catfish, greens, red beans & rice is what I ate & ALL was GREAT!!! I will definitely be back…

Some of the food is absolutely fantastic and you must try it (catfish and mac n' cheese? Utter banger) But it does feel like they phone it in on some of the sides? Black eyed peas and red beans and rice are the same dish (plus rice).Also, they prepare an order as soon as it comes in, regardless of delivery time. So if you place an order for a 5:10 pickup, it will be made and ready at 4:30. So you might end up with cold food if you're doing delivery or a scheduled pickup. I'd recommend phoning in the order and picking it up ASAP, or placing it about 30 mins out from when you *actually* want it.
I just ordered from this restaurant through DoorDash, I ordered the fried catfish with red beans and collard greens and a strawberry lemonade, first off the fish was seasoned good but it was over fried, the red beans was very bland with no seasoning, the collard greens was bland with no taste and they also forgot my strawberry lemonade Well that was 30 dollars down the drain
I grew up in mostly in New Orleans and Alabama. I have been in Seattle for over a decade and have been looking for a good bowl of gumbo that whole time. I had not found one until I ordered from The Comfort Zone. This. Is. Legit. I am eating my leftovers for breakfast as I write this. I cannot WAIT to try other things on the menu. Those collards look amazing.Thank you!!!!
The chicken wings are the best entree. My cabbage was mush. It’s weird to fry shrimp in cornmeal batter!
