I love this little spot - service is friendly, ambiance is intimate and the food is always good. I hadn't been there in awhile and I noticed that they've updated their menu to show gluten free options, which were numerous. Our waitress was awesome and made sure all my questions were answered. I learned that they usually have one frier they try to keep gluten free, but with new staff or a busy night, it can be a crapshoot, so if that concerns you, always ask (apparently, this is super common, so it always pays to check). I lucked out and the fryer was clean but they did offer to pan sear the brussel sprouts (delish, btw) instead of fry. They went the extra mile to make sure that we were happy and cared for and I really enjoyed my meal and the outdoor seating. Always a solid and delicious choice!
Two stars because our server (who I believe is also the manager or asst manager) was apologetic and provided great service to us after what happened, and the food was good. However, these things do not make up for being told we were not allowed to dine there with our registered & professionally trained SERVICE DOG for my boyfriend. This restaurant and its staff are completely unaware of the federal law which states that establishments MUST allow service dogs with their handl
Great place for brunch Good portion sizes and some local ingredients. Everything was fairly well cooked. Ordered the eggs Benedict. One of the two poached eggs didn't run, which was a bummer. The Hollandaise was pretty good as well, but very heavy. Overall, this is a pretty nice and casual brunch spot.
We enjoyed our brunch at the nicely covered outdoor patio. Nice brunch menu! I had a braised short rib and kimchi benedict. My daughter had a carbonara. Her friend had a dungeness crab benedict. We all liked own picked?I boxed up my leftover for later, but I forgot to take it from the table....?
I love this neighborhood restaurant. They have fantastic cocktails and a full bar. The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and a great place for a date night. The food is excellent and the service is prompt and friendly. The lack of parking is the only thing that could be a problem. Otherwise, this is a great place to enjoy an evening out.
This place has delicious food, great atmosphere and wonderful personal service. Karen and Kendall are terrific at their job. My wife and I have been going to this place for the past 4 years. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
Stopped in on my way to the Fisherman's Terminal and what a wicked cool place! Very friendly staff and great prices. Definitely good vibes and lovely conversation. The owner James is so personally and you can tell he takes so much pride in his business.
Service was awful, food was subpar. The waitress was rude, annoyed, and we felt discriminated against. Really disappointed as we came here to celebrate a special occasion and struggled to enjoy our dinner. Seems to me that this place doesn’t enjoy serving food. They only seem to care about people ordering alcohol, as we saw people around us drinking getting much kinder service. The menu and previous reviews were very misleading. Will not be returning here again. They made us feel very uncomfortable for ordering vegan food and not ordering alcohol.Edit* I noticed another review just now saying this place isn’t racially friendly- and we completely agree. Maybe it wasn’t the fact that we didn’t order alcohol, they just treated us poorly because we are not white.
I appreciate their rotating menu and specials. Service was attentive and friendly. Good drink selection. It’s a small enough place it’s easy to get attention when needed and they were quick to refresh drinks. Timing of food was just right, I hate feeling rushed, this place did an excellent job with pacing. Crab fritters were interesting, more like hush puppies, but delicious (the remoulade sauce was spot on). The scallops with succotash was a surprisingly large, filling dish. The tables are quite close together and this place is popular, so you might not get inside seating as a walk in, but the heated outdoor shelter looked cute.
Molly our server was great, attentive and very responsive. Didn't know this place was 21 and up for brunch, but that's awesome because it was quiet and the pace was leisurely which is perfect for brunch. The juevos rancheros we're generous and tasty, the steak was a little under-seasoned but cooked perfectly and the eggs and potatoes were on point. Will definitely be back to try the dinner menu!
