I'll start with the positive. The food was pretty good. I had the Buddha bowl and my husband ordered the carnitas bowl. Ingredients were fresh and wholesome. I enjoyed my meal dispute what I'm about to explain. I'd like to preface that this was our first time eating at this establishment. Just everyone understands. We were treated coldly and passive aggressively by the staff the whole time we were there. Despite being patrons we were treated like an inconvenience rather welcome guests. The male attendant turning town the restaurant for closing was openly annoyed with us and made us feel unwelcome and unwanted. We arrived well before closing and ordered promptly after we arrived. He went out of his way to man splain the menu when I had a question and rudely reminded me I should have let them know of my requests when I ordered my food.Unfortunately we won't be coming back. Which is such a shame. It's hard to find healthy reasonably priced meals but if the service is bad, the price for the meal isn't worth it.
Our family loves Barking Dog! Great kid-friendly pub food with a good kids menu. Great vibe. We’ve been here dozens of times and it’s consistently good and fun.
Very unique environment, excellent drink options. Food was average; nothing special but still good. Not a fan of being your own waiter/waitress but priced well.
Barking Dog Alehouse is a restaurant and bar right off 8th in Ballard, nestled into a side road so definitely of the beaten path. They have some seating outside with heaters and coverage, plus lots of seating inside at tables or the bar. They have a bunch of TVs and a good sized menu of food and drinks. With weekly specials, there's always something new to try. They are dog friendly inside, and baby friendly as well. The staff is so nice, quick to help, and although the food is a bit pricey at smaller portions, it's delicious. Definitely a great local spot to try out.
This restaurant is miraculous. They've somehow managed to solve Seattle's impossible equation of delivering great quality food and actual reasonable prices. When I eat here I feel like I'm paying for quality of food instead of someone's rent prices.
This place doesn't bus their tables on their own. We needed to bus our own tables to get a seat for ourself. We notice that other groups started to do the same thing after we did. My salmon tacos were slathered in a mayo sauce. It completely destroyed the taste of the tacos. The nitro stout was solid. I wouldn't recommend that anyone go here.
my favorite neighborhood bar and grill in seattle. excellent food and personable staff. have been coming here for years. good wine snd beer selection as well. the outside seating is top notch year round. highly recommended.
Our absolute favorite to bring friends and dogs even during a cold winter. Good rotating beer selection and burger. Veggie bowls are ok but could be better.
The food is absolutely fabulous here. so many options with a wide variety. This establishment has a fantastic outdoor seating area with patio heaters.
Love the atmosphere. Lots of covered outdoor seating with fire pits and heaters. The food is always delicious.
