The restaurant looks somewhat like a hole in the wall, but we decided to give it a try and we were very glad! The majority of patrons were of Asian descent so we were confident we had picked well. The chicken fried rice the kids ordered was the best I had ever tasted. The adults got the seafood combination and beef and mushrooms which we shared. Both were excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant
This is a very good, authentic Chinese restaurant. Don’t expect traditional American Chinese food that you find in most restaurants. Each meal comes with complimentary tea, which has outstanding flavor. We ordered egg rolls, garlic shrimp, and Peking style bbq spareribs. All entrees had outstanding flavor, for the garlic shrimp we requested some hot chili sauce to accentuate the flavor of the dish. If you like authentic Chinese food, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Tai Tung has the best chicken wings I've had at any Chinese restaurant. I love them their house fried rice has improved a lot their deep fry prawns are good and their Chinese beef with greens is pretty good and so was their chicken chow mein. The staff is always friendly I love this place I've been going here since I was a little girl.
I had the house special fried rice. I’d seen photos of it and it looked delicious. However, the shrimp in my order looked puny and withered. The overall taste was decent but not what I wanted it to be because I love young chow fried rice. Maybe I was just unlucky. The service though was very friendly and inviting. I will return just for that to try the rice again and other dishes.
I had the Bruce Lee meal Oyster Beef, very good choice but my daughter ordered the Squid with vegetables and it was super delicious! We also had the Crispy Duck to go for our flight back, it was good hours later too. It was great to see where Bruce Lee came to eat regularly, where he sat and all the memorablia. There was a really cool mural outside the restaurant too.
The food, the staff and the atmosphere were all synchronized into the perfect day experience for asian cuisine. Sweet and sour chicken, oyster beef, fried rice, garlic bok choy and even the tea were spectacular. I have been coming back here for 35 years. Whenever friends are in town to visit or we are celebrating a special occasion or just have a craving for some good Asian food, Thai Tung is the answer.
Can’t fault this place fir real local Chinese. Best Bao with duck ever. Small and busy full of Lucas’s always a good sign. Big portions and great value
This is one of my FAVORITE restaurants. I grew up eating here and it's always been good. You do have to show proof of covid vaccine. They used to validate parking but no longer do. There's several parking lots you can pay to park. Tai Tung has the best fried chicken in Washington in my opinion. We had fried chicken, special fried rice and chow mein.
To be honest I am not sure how this place has 4.5 stars on Google. It was probably one of the worst food experiences that I had.The chicken was not good so I ended up not eating it. The noodles were so oily.
