The spot is cute well air-conditioned, with nice lighting. We ordered edamame, California roll, Godzilla roll, Rainbow roll, and Spicy Tuna Hand roll. We went on a Tuesday evening and the women in the front who sat us down, took our order and took care of us, was AMAZING. She ran around making sure everyone was taken care of. She killed it at her job. The issue was that the kitchen took really long. We waited 1 hour for our food, and to be honest it wasn‘t worth the wait. The lady who took care of us did warn us about it and we took our chances. They were clearly understaffed but overall it was an average visit. I’m sure I would have rated it a 4 had food been faster.I do have to add that accessing the menu is really frustrating. It isn’t user friendly.
Sushi was phenomenal - my family and I collectively agree some of their pieces are the best we’ve ever had. Service was great as well!
Wildly overpriced for possibly the sketchiest sushi I’ve ever tried. I believe that the fish was just cut, but I don’t believe that it was fresh. The rolls are so sloppy they’re falling apart when I try to pick them up. Even the wasabi is dry and crusty. The restaurant was dead when I went to grab my order, only 2 tables, there was only one other order on the counter so they obviously weren’t busy. I’m honestly not going to be surprised if I get food poisoning. Staff was unfriendly and the entire situation just felt lazy.Update: I ate about 1/5 of the order before throwing it away, still got food poisoning within 24hrs. If you’re going to have a menu that’s made up of food that goes bad quickly, you need to have professionals handling it. This really isn’t acceptable. You can kill people.
Dined in for a friend’s birthday - the staff heard us singing happy birthday and played a birthday song for us on the restaurant’s sound system - very attentive and kind. The food was well-portioned - I ordered two rolls and left feeling satisfied but not overly full or bloated. The menu itself wasn’t too memorable, but the two rolls I chose were different enough from each another.
I came here to get a pickup order during the pandemic. I asked if they had gyudon because I saw it on their online menu that hadn't been updated for years. They didn't know what gyudon was and when I said beef, they condescended with "we don't have any beef...here, we serve sushi". It's funny how people would serve Japanese food are completely disconnected with it. No problem whatsoever if you don't have said food item but there is literally zero reason to be condescending. My biggest mistake was deciding on ordering two bang average rolls for almost 30 dollars along with horrible service.
If you want to wait an hour for shifty food this is your spot. The restaurant will be empty while they serve you old fish and health board violations
Really friendly staff and phenomenal sushi. The Las Vegas roll awakened something inside of me. I always forget about this place and go somewhere else for sushi, but that changes with this last visit. It's too good.
Very good sushi. The gyoza is quite good. The atmosphere inside is great with wood walled booths and a counter, like a traditional Japanese sushi place.
Brilliant service. Cozy place. Service was friendly and laid back, yet attentive. Exactly the vibe you need some days. Serve a delicious cheap warm house sake.
Probably the worst sushi I’ve ever had in my life. The sushi was bland, falling apart, triangular, and wasn’t even cut properly—there was a snaggled piece of tuna that hung off of one piece from not getting sliced through all the way. The sashimi was cold, wet, and didn’t taste very fresh. And I came here hungry :( Never again. The kicker was that it was also a bit more expensive than your average sushi spot. If you want A+ sushi, go to Village Sushi on the Ave, made by a true artist.
