Sushi Kenpai, I can’t believe I haven’t already left a glowing review for this place!I lived across the street for years, and have eaten here a ton of times. This place is a favorite for my spouse and I, the food is great and the service is always quick and friendly.I moved to a different state for a while and would always come here when in town, sometimes to meet people and other times just so my spouse and I could get a familiar meal.I’m finally back to living in Seattle and recently stopped by again, the meal was excellent as always. My spouse and I usually split a spicy tuna roll, a Philly roll, and an 8th Ave.This place is a solid choice, five stars.

Good service, quality sushi, fair prices, and decent teriyaki! The salmon was a little over cooked in my opinion but overall very good and I would recommend this restaurant.

The service was great, the sushi was amazing and so was the sake. We expected a bit more of a fine dining experience as far as the atmosphere went but nevertheless we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and had a great night. Thanks so much to the server for doing such an amazing job and for being so knowledgeable about the questions we asked and thanks to the sushi chefs, the food was outstanding.

This local sushi hovel is a neighborhood gem. It is super cozy. Menu prices are very reasonable. Ingredients are fresh. The staff are super friendly and actually helpful with good suggestions. I usually leave feeling completely satiated and ready to pass out. Highly recommend :-)

Had a late lunch here and took it to go. Everything was amazing and fresh. Got my order quick and the service was top notch! I can't remember the waitress who helped me but I did compliment her nails. I will be back for sure

I consider myself a sushi connoisseur. I've had sushi every month of my life since I was 6. I used to live in Los Angeles and sushi is plentiful. I've had the worst sushi, and sushi that would make your jaw drop in ecstacy. This sushi restaurant is the best one I have in Washington State, hands down. I indulged in the Wasabi Hamachi and the paradise rolls with a sushi/sashimi mixed platter with fatty tuna nigiri on the side. All this paired with Nigori Cloudy Sake Strawberry- super sweet, creamy and light. My favorite fish is yellowtail (aka hamachi), however the real star of tonight's dinner was salmon... their salmon was so fresh, it was light, fresh and buttery- melting in my mouth. The fatty tuna came in second place for sure. The white fish was also good. The rolls were both unique and crafted with perfectly balanced flavors. The Wasabi Hamachi was just a touch spicy, but the hamachi and misago really balanced that out. The paradise was creamy and the coconut sweetness was refreshing and new in the world of sushi.I loved their creativity with flavors and you can tell they care about the quality of the fish, when you watch them fillet the fish at the end of the night. Nothing frozen. Fish served room temp, as it should be. I will be returning to this incredibly authentic venue of Japanese cuisine.Anyone who didn't admire their attention to detail must not have been ordering from here.... its no mistake, this is the freshest and most authentic Japanese sushi in all of washington.

Went here on a whim while extended family was visiting. A little out of the way of downtown (a plus) and enjoyed the atmosphere. Loved the happy hour selection. Definitely a great spot to dine and would go again if I am in the area.

Great food fresh good service the happy hour menu was good had a great time trying different things 4 ppl 170 that's with drinks too everyone full and took food home

Great service paired with tasty, value-oriented lunch specials. Definitely worth a visit for your next lunch.

Crunchy dynamite roll melts in your mouth. Best baked roll ever. Veggie dumplings were great as well
