I ordered a chicken dinner, gumbo, and red velvet cake. This was the most delicious food I’ve had in a long time. Chicken was crispy, flavorful, and juicy. The macaroni was out of this world. And the red velvet cake ( which is not usually my favorite) was perfection! I think I just died and went to heaven….

I never leave reviews but wow ordered on Uber eats recommended to me by a friend .. obviously not my friend cuz this place is not it. the meal was so incredibly salty. everything. Catfish tastes like too much salt greens taste like salt mac n cheese so much salt plantains just salt on salt on salt super disappointed cuz good soul food is so hard to find in Seattle but you honestly would be better off going ANYWHERE else
I have been here twice and told both times that side of the restaurant is closed. It says nothing about special hours on Groupon. My Groupon has now expired and still have not been able to use it. What a waste of money!!!
Loaded gumbo was OUT OF THIS WORLD! So flavorful, and just the right amount of spice. Mac & Cheese is a must as well. Kind of confusing finding this place at first, but just walk into Tzar Dumpling, and they have the Soul menu/ number you can text to order. Definitely recommend!
The catfish tasted unclean and unseasoned. Couldn’t even finish the sorry excuse for gumbo no sassuge very salty gravy like mixture on top. Lemon pepper wings tasted like something was off in the texture Wingstop is a better option. Spent 100$ purchase very disappointed
I have been looking for good soul food here in Seattle since I moved here from Louisiana. Soul is amazing soo good. Best I've had since Alice's in Minden, Louisiana. Good stuff. Recommend 100%
Do not support this business if ordering through Uber Eats. If there is a problem with your order Uber Eats will be blamed and they will be rude. When I contacted to see if my missing items could be sent or given a number for Uber customer service basically was told no because it was not there fault. The number they had was for restaurant owners only. Too much hassle. Contacted my credit card to dispute the transaction.My husband being owner of a small business I truly try to support. Maybe going inside the establishment is better. Wish them the best. Seattle is BEAUTIFUL ❤️
If you order using Uber Eats and the order is not correct Uber Eats will be blamed and no restitution. Better to visit them in person.
A good friend of mine spoiled us for HIS birthday yesterday by having food catered from here, and I have not stopped thinking about it.
