After walking past and smelling the deliciousness of this restaurant for about a year, my partner and I finally decided to try Ethiopian cuisine for the first time. The ambiance was great, welcoming and had a few larger parties, which makes this the perfect place to bring a group of friends. The staff was super friendly, and incredibly helpful when we asked for recommendations on what to order. We ordered the lamb, tilapia, and red lentils, all of which were incredible.We can’t wait to go back again!
My favorite Ethiopian place was closed so I went here. Wow, it is so much better. I usually don't like some of the dishes in the vegetable combo but I like all of them here.Major bonus all their injera is gluten free and everything in the veggie combo is as well.
Great food in a nice space. I really enjoyed fir fir and kitfo and tibs. I’ll definitely come back to Shewa-Ber
This is a nice place. It is my first time eating Ethiopian and I had no idea that it was so close to Indian food. The food was really great with lots of flavor and service was prompt. I took the meat combo which had a large serving and came with injera(Ethiopian bread). My wife took the doro wat, which is spicy chicken stew served with egg and injera. Will definitely recommend this place.
We are so excited to have found this restaurant. The food was absolutely scrumptious. Fresh. Amazing spices. Not heavy. And the Injera was so light and wonderfully sour. We love sour. We will be back many times. We found the amount of food per serving very plentiful. We ordered three dishes and we are two people and we will have leftovers for lunch and dinner tomorrow. YumEE!! so delicious!! my regular order is the veggie combo and doro wot. the doro wot has got a kick to it and the two items ordered together was the perfect portion for two people. amazing, will definitely be back!
Great, interesting food! Very different to your 'average' dine-in!! Wholesome, affordable, tasty & quiet atmosphere. Can't wait to return.
We love this restaurant! We are very happy they opened here in our neighborhood. The are now my favorite Ethiopian restaurant in Seattle! Getting addicted the Ethiopian food since they opened here!
This place is amazing!! from the food to the cleanliness of the restaurant to the fantastic customer service. My friends and I have been frequenting this place since they first opened. Very pleased with them. A great set up for a company dinner, a friends birthday and or for a date night. Absolutely recommend it.
