Great service, excellent food! Super quiet for dinner; and the open windows kept it cool on a hot summer day.
The place seemed a bit shabby, there were flies all around and it looked like nobody cared about it. But I must say the ramen here was perfect! I had taken miso vegan ramen, and it was really good! The broth was perfect and the noodles were cooked to the point and not soggy! I got chilli garlic oil and another chilli powder like seasoning to amp up the spice level and they charged 4 dollars for it! Which honestly felt a lil too much as it is usually given for free. All in all the ramen was soo good. They could do better with the cleanliness part here.
It's okay Ramen. If you have a craving Ramen and live near the Ave then go here. It will hit that spot.If you are looking for a more flavorful broth and an atmospheric location go elsewhere. You go here by yourself when you're hungry, not with your friends when they want ramen.
Best noodle! we ordered 3 kinds of noodle and all of them were delicious. Love the thick bow with design as well.
The service was fast and attentive. But the Ramen itself was nothing great. I ordered the tofu miso vegan ramen. My husband usually gets the tonkatsu ramen and he always liked it. The miso broth lacked any flavor or depth and was very salty. I have had better luck with ramen made from the frozen ramen kits from Asian markets.
In 100% disclosure, the ramen is good there is in certain aspects. Good noodles, toppings, non spicy broth i bet is good. The problem i had was the following, to my fellow spice lords, pepper heads, etc please head these words. I got the "tonkatsu ramen from hell", my significant other, got the "spicy miso tonkatsu ramen". So, as one would expect, to some amount, these should have been spicy.... The tonkatsu from hell ramen had ZERO spicy ness, only a nice light red color. The spicy miso tonkatsu ramen was just as bad. The miso one i would expect to be not that spicy, but still at least a tickle. The hell ramen in a ideal world, should be spicier than the aforementioned miso ramen to any degree. Other than this let down, it was good. Also, heads just two bowls of ramen and 2 drinks was $63. Before tip.
Great Japanese noodle, especially with such a convenient location.
Delicious ramen, casual environment, friendly staff and fair prices. Seasonal specials. Sake, beer, apps. I always enjoy my visits!
Nice, warm Japanese food options. Mainly ramen.
Hot Sake was delicious comfort on a rainy day. I got the garlic ramen and my wife got the spicy tonkotsu, both were delicious, though the tonkotsu was more complex. The service was quick, kind, and accurate
