Simply amazing. Everything was crunchy on the outside and super tender on the inside. The fish and the shrimp you can tell are very fresh. The flavors are amazing. The endive is quite too sour I must say. But I’m just in LOVE with rupee bar!
My second time here, cocktails are decent, but food 50/50. Prawns were way too salty, overcooked and soaked in oil, only clams dish was a highlight.
Tiny place, menu card is smaller than a typical wedding invitation card..! Not really a great variety of food. Having said that the available items are also not worth the price as most of the items are expensive with the taste not matching the price at all. Food is average to taste but at the same time too salty & meat or veggies are burnt which kills the actual flavor & taste of that food.!
Cute little place tucked away in Ballard! Perfect for date nights. We tried all of their vegetarian items on the menu, loved it. Definitely recommend trying their bhel puri and the spiced cake with fenugreek ice cream, which was so subtle and so delicious!
Great place to come with another couple so you can try it all.
I cannot recommend this place enough! All the dishes are served in a shared plates style. Some of my favorites are the fried chicken, Indian eggplant, and pakora but I think we’ve had everything on the menu and no food has ever been left behind. There are a wide variety of awesome cocktails to choose from and again, I’ve never been disappointed. I think they change their menu every couple of months so there is always something new. Wish I’d taken a photo because everything that comes out of the kitchen is beautifully plated. We have always sat outside - they have outside seating with plenty of heat lamps, and the inside is also very beautifully designed with a long bar. Like a lot of places in Ballard, you need to make a reservation maybe a week or two in advance because they book up quickly! I would take anyone visiting here or just go here for a great date night!
My husband selected this place for our date night. We tried Sri Lankan food for the first time and it was exceeded our expectations. They have limited options but everything is delicious. We almost had all the vegetarian option on their menu. We will visit again and it is a must visit.
Cute fusion restaurant in Ballard. Not really authentic Sri Lankan food but more of a mix of American/Indian/Sri Lankan. Cocktails and naan were very good. Dessert not so good.
Small menu but quality food. Devils Shrimp and Kerala Chicken fry were delicious. Street parking. Outside seating with a fireplace also available.
Great cocktails and tasty Indian treats in a cozy, funky space.
