Located right in the heart of "downtown" Fremont, Royal Grinders is a go-to for delicious food. A small, locally owned business, be prepared for a wait when you arrive - and that's not a bad thing because that means your food is fresh and quality and not cookie cutter. There is outdoor seating available around the Lenin statue, and it makes for a great setting , especially in the summer.Be sure to check or call ahead for their current hours as they have been altered ever since reopening after the initial COVID-related lockdowns, but it is well worth making the trip!
grilled veggie grinder did not disappoint. as soon as i felt it even in the wrapper i could tell the bread was gonna be crispy. and when i opened it the smell was amazing. and i knew it was gonna taste good. cause it looked good too.

This place is the GOAT. I was so happy to eat there again after two years of shutdown. I wish I lived closer so I could go more often. You can't go wrong with any of their grinders- and the owner Jay is a solid dude as well. Grab a beer and a royal with everything on it, you won't regret it.
The best. Sandwiches are packed with flavor on delicious bread. Great, friendly staff too. Worth it every time. Do yourself a favor and get some!
I just love this place so much and I am so happy for the reopening. My favorite sandwich is the barbecue chicken. If you want to try delicious panini, this is The One.
A long time waiting for this place to reopen but, do not be surprised as this is one of the BEST grinders that I have ever had. The owner or manager was so nice that he have us a free soda and chips as he thought we had waited too long! It was well worth it and YES I will return over and over as I haven't found a better grinder in SEATTLE!!!!! *****
The absolute best chicken pesto grinder in the world. The owner and all of the staff here are friendly, engaging and polite. I haven't had one of these sandwiches since the beginning of the pandemic and my heart, face and tumny are so happy right now. Today is their soft re-opening, free sandwich! I would have paid $100 for it.

I know it sounds hyperbolic to say this, but I am willing to go from a pleasant debate about Seattle's Best Sandwich to a straight-up fistfight defending Royal Grinders' honor. The sandwiches are on the greatest warm and soft bread. Everything is seasoned beautifully. They do not short you on meat or other items going in your sandwich. You want to go rogue and customize a little bit? They won't bat an eye and they'll just do it.Since the pandemic started, they've been closed down for the protection of their staff (which I totally respect). That said, I've lost custody of my children and gone through a divorce as I would constantly tell my family that Royal Grinders will open back up again. My empty promises have torn my family apart, but I will wait until the end of civilization as we know it if that means I can get my hands on another Royal Grinder with Ying Yang sauce again.
