Years ago I would come here fairly regularly. Was in the mood for a country fried steak and thought to stop by for brunch.I hope that I had just caught them on an off-day and that they haven't actually declined, but I wasn't impressed.Got there after the brunch rush when things were slowing down but even so, our food was lukewarm and the bagels were so hard and stale you could chip a tooth on them.Maybe I'll give them another chance sometime, but knowing what they were before compared to what I had experienced my last time there, I don't have a huge motivation to go back anytime soon.
Divine eggs Benedict experience, finally a restaurant that can serve a proper fresh hollandaise. Eggs were poached perfectly and the pastrami I subbed in for the Canadian bacon was divine. It was served on something closer to a pancake rather than an English muffin, which was honestly the wrong move in my opinion, but it was delicious regardless. Hashbrowns were also perfectly seasoned and crisp. I will be a repeat customer!
Best east coast bagels I've had on the west coast. Period. This is an authentic diner with really feel-good food. The staff is also super friendly and hard working, to the point an off-shift employee stopped in just to say "hi" and, by their own decision, ended up working forty minutes when they noticed how busy it was.Roxy's is a MUST visit. I know it will become one of my regular stops!
Eat here for breakfast but grab your coffee a few doors down at Cafe Ladro. Roxy’s has a standard diner menu and the food was tasty. I ordered an egg bagel with veggies and my sister had a bagel with cream cheese and lox. All of it was good ???? I saw that the owner is from NJ (where I am also from) and he definitely captured the best parts of the old skool diner atmosphere. Here’s why it doesn’t get five stars: (1) why is the coffee so bad? Clean those coffee pots guys or just get some drip from one of the excellent coffee shops around the corner. (2) make some updates. It feel like they haven’t tried anything new since 2004. Consider stocking oat or almond milk (I would be willing to pay for it). There is no competition for a hot breakfast in the area and Roxy’s needs a push to do better.
I hadn't eaten at Roxy's for quite some time but I'm glad I did. The corned beef hash was very tasty, the coffee good, and the service top notch. My water glass and coffee cup stayed full, the whole time ! The environment of the restaurant has changed and is very colorful. No boring diner colors. No complaints at all. And compared to other breakfast joints, the price was good.
My boyfriend and I walk from Queen Anne to come here all the time. Good service and really good New York style food. Best diner in Seattle.
Roxy's had been consistent since i can remember, the spicy club ( i think they call it Chipotle club) is definitely a stand out, last time i went in i had the chicken fried and it was exactly what I wanted from a diner, crispy steak lots of gravy and a mound of home fries!! I'll be going back for that!!
We were looking for a chill place to eat, and decided to try this place.Food wasn't upto the mark for even the basic standards.Super dark coffee (first turn off) - easily 5x the normal of coffee powder was used.Hashbrown was so full of oil and rock hard that I couldn't bite into it. Asked for a replacement, got another sad excuse for a hashbrown, didn't bother to ask again.Wife asked for no mushrooms, and she got mushrooms (thanks for the extras I guess lol)Bagel was crusty, hard and really tough to eat.French toast was dense on the inside.Things that were good: omelets, the strawberry jam.
Cool interior. Ordered chicken fried steak, eggs, with tots, and bagel. The tater tots were not warm.
The food here is so good and the price is just right. It's such a good spot for a nice greasy bite to eat with breakfast served all day. There are healthy options as well and it felt like there were lots of choices for people of various dietary needs.
