Always great service and food with a friendly staff. Atmosphere is great….particularly anywhere on the back patio.
Beautiful setting...cimplete with with linens. 'Outdoor' seating with beautiful fabrics, fires, music and wonderful staff. The food was delicious and the menu is varied. Many customers dressed for a special evening which added to the setting. (Yes, there were also some who wore denim, including me, but overall everyone looked befitted for this beautiful place). It was a memorable evening.
A very cozy Italian restaurant in a quite neighbourhood. I visited it multiple times (and did some free advertisement to my friends) and really impressed with taste, especially the pappardelle. The outdoor seating is like a dream garden, will definitely visit again when the summer arrives (hopefully soon).One little complaint, desert options are limited and not quite impressive.
Really great Italian food. Sat out back with a large group and had a fantastic meal. Service was great and food was very fast. Portion size is medium so round up if doing family style. Highly recommend.
The “special” butter lettuce salad had very little lettuce and the other ingredients were barely detectable. All for $14. Ling cod “special” was mushy fish and a sauce that was just tired, obviously not freshly prepared. Chicken Marsala did not taste like Marsala. Pizza had almost no sauce and even less flavor. The 2017 wine we ordered turned out to be 2019, no explanation and no price adjustment.
Love the family style Italian cuisine. Every is good from fresh pasta, creamy sauce and tiramisu desert. Don't hold back
The food and atmosphere were fabulous. What we disliked was the sign staring us in the face throughout our meal telling us we could only be there 2 hours!It felt very uncomfortable like we could not relax and enjoy the wonderful ambiance of this beautiful restaurant.The other annoying thing was after we received our dessert and coffee the waiter promptly gives us our check before we even sip our coffee.Not a good way to do business!This was on a Wednesday night and plenty of tables available!It basically makes you feel like they just want you in and out of there as quickly as possible.
Excellent food, great ambiance, strolling accordion player - all wonderful except the poor service - a weak waiter can spoil the magic
The restaurant is x shape. It is bigger inside when you would expect. We had a group event. The drink was OK, no problems. I am GF dairy free, after having a meal there, I could say avoid at all cost. I ordered steak which seemed to be a good option. When they delivered it, it was not edible. It was hard to chew, for 40 dollars after tips and tax, it was complete waste of money. The mashed potatoes were made from powder, they did not even mix it well. Let me tell you, I was sick for several days after eating there. No decent dairy free options. The only GF option is pasta, but considering quality I was presented, I would not trust them. Pick a different place, Highly disappointing.
I love this place. Food is consistently delicious, staff is very nice and they always have great wine recommendations. This is a go-to spot for celebrating family birthdays and they are always able to accommodate us. The back garden is beautiful, a great place to dine in the warm weather (I haven't sat outside during the colder months so I'm not sure if it's heated). I would recommend Picolinos as a great place for a date, somewhere to celebrate, or a place for great food any day of the week.
