First ES restraunt I went to and was underwhelmed by the food. I was expecting the burger to be more flavorful. Additionally, the burger bun was too airy and I don't think it is a good fit for a burger. Staff was nice. Ambience is on the higher end.

The salmon, however, was perfect. So was the beet salad. I do not eat meat and so at first I was concerned about the scarce alternatives. I went with the grilled salmon and ho lee sheet that was one good piece of fish. My friend had the rib eye which was about the right size for him. Why not 5/5? Desserts were a little vanilla and somehow while some dishes were under salted, others were over salted. Service is super friendly and the outdoor area a treat. Will go back with carnivore guests.

Went there about 3 weeks ago and they got A LOT wrong. We ordered a mid-line steak, not top shelf but it was something like $45. Med-Rare please. The meat literally came out raw, mooing - I've seen seared tuna cooked more on the inside. Mushed under my knife when trying to cut it. But of course they sliced it up like an Avocado so it's not like they could cook it again but DID THEY EVEN LOOK AT IT??? Seriously regret not sending it back, hindsight 20/20.The Crimini Mushrooms and they came out BATHING in oil. Probably an inch of oil in the bottom of the bowl. What??Pepper mill was pathetic. Maybe a single cough of pepper with 5 seconds of grinding. Slanging $80+ steaks and I can get a better grind at Olive Garden. Telling...The best part of the meal was the salad. It was a nice start to the meal, little heavy on the pork, but it's hard to complain about pork fat.Overall - would not return here, ESPECIALLY at the price point. Icing on the cake that they slap a 4% surcharge on the bill to 'Offset the rising cost of goods and non-labor expenses'. Why not just build that into the food price? They obviously reprint the menus regularly here so this doesn't make sense. We've been happy with ESR restaurants before, but this is unfortunately not the first one we've seen on what appears to be a downward spiral (Derby, for example).

Like most upscale Seattle dining venues I've been in, Red Cow is LOUD! The food is excellent, with surprises on the menu, at least for me. The type of menu is best described as France meets Montana. They do it well. Very tasty!

The food was great. Our table tried several different dishes and they were uniformly excellent.Tried the outdoor seating and froze. Unusually cold April, true, but consider upping your heating game.

We LOVE ES restaurants so of course we had to try this place and quite honestly we weren’t as impressed as some of his other locations but it wasn’t like terrible or anything! Our waiter was super nice which was great but it took over an hour to get our main entree, by that time we were absolutely starving! I ordered the burger medium but it came like super rare, and it was disappointing cause I was so hungry. Also the bun was super burnt, and that’s all I could taste. Overall the burger had like no flavor. We also ordered the coulotte steak, it was delicious though! We also got the beet salad which was super good & the bread which was delicious. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the food came really slow, took over 2 hours to get 2 appetizers and 2 entrees out. Our waiter was super nice but that’s a really long time. We were seated at like 615pm and didn’t get our entrees until close to 745pm. And because of my burger. Otherwise it was great! But I prefer other ES restaurants much more than this one.

Delicious! Staff are lovely as well. Can be a bit pricey but the food is really fantastic. Took advantage of the 15th anniversary menu tonight, which was a great deal! (Everything on it is $15, and it included their top selling apps and entrees as well as bottles of wine and 2 for $15 cocktails)

Love the neighborhood vibe and sat at bar enjoying the bussle. Started with 'Mischief Managed' (nod to HP Im sure) which featured vodka, lemon, additional liquor which I didnt recognize. Barkeep was right, it was not sweet .. which I did not want, but it also wasnt very taste-ful. Watery, flat, somewhat bland .. bummer. Ordered Penn Cove mussels (moules frites) as I am a huge fan usually. Disappointed. Mussels were fine but prep was completely unimaginative. Thin broth with a few herbs tossed in. Needed butter. White wine, someting more to compliment and make the moules fly.. and crusty bread to soak up tailings. Frites were good though ... sorry. Two stars.

The only enjoyable things about our dinner were the wine and the ambiance. The host was friendly but our waitress was very impersonal and flat with us. Several of the items we were interested in were not on the menu any longer and rather than offer other suggestions she very bluntly said “We don’t have that.” and then stared impatiently for our order. Our food was ultimately bland and disappointing and the price for our experience was outrageous.

Everything we ordered was excellent and the wine list was great. Really cute ambience, good for a romantic dinner or a small group of friends. They also have a good amount of outdoor seating with heaters. What stood out the most was the service, they took care of us. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.
