I am from Ethiopia and know how to cook. The new owner of Ras Dashen is absolutely horrible. Way to salty and dry. The food is not the same as it was before with the old owner. And i personally know the old owner and the food and business was great. And I used to go there with friends or while I was pregnant and craving injera. But never again. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time and money on this place. ?
I went to this restaurant due to a recommendation from a friend. I wanted to try some authentic Ethiopian cuisine. The restaurant is clean, food preparation quick, presentation and service impeccable. I will be going back.
Very authentic Ethiopian food! The service is amazing! We (me and my daughter)had Kitfo and doro wot and we loved both. You must try the house salad and we even ordered extra to take home. Great place.
I love the food here, especially the Veggie platter and Shiro Wat. Staff and the chef are very friendly and the vibe is great! It might take time for the food to arrive but I am fine with. it.
It was my first time dinning there, but I found so delicious food out there. I will definitely dine in there for my next visit and I will bring my friends there too. Great food they have.
Nestled in a residential neighborhood, this place is a gem! The inside of the restaurant is nice. But most of all the food is amazing and our waitress was very sweet and attentive to our whole party. The service stood out to me because as a brown immigrant in predominantly white spaces, servers often ignore me, and look away when they have to talk to me (taking my order, etc.). Not so here. The whole experience was great! It was hard to stop eatimg the delicious food even after I was stuffed!Definitely going back to this restaurant.
Ras Dashen has great vegan options. I like spicy food and I especially liked the Fir Fir and Shiro Wot. It is communal style dining so make sure you are prepared for that. The honey wine actually tastes like honey, and I really liked it!
This place is a must when i am In town. It’s incredibly cute inside and super clean. They offer gluten free injera and the food never disappoints. I highly recommend the meat combo, you get a little bit of everything. Definitely try the honey wine. The staff is always super friendly and it’s a woman owned business!!
Beautiful restaurant and amazing food- what more can you say! I had the beef tibs and shared some other dishes with friends and everything was delicious. Can’t wait to come back.
I used to like ordering food from them but nowadays their food is horrible. I gave them a couple of times chances to try to incase one-time mistake but no their food become horrible. We ordered food and came cold plus the food is from couple days ago and the vegetable has a smell and bad test. We ate the meat combo and we got sick. I do notice they do care about the money not the quality of the food. This is my last time ordering food with them. I do not recommend others to order from them too.
