Honestly, we didn’t know what to expect when we first got there. The many of the foods seemed so exotic i didn’t want to order the wrong thing. But of the dishes ended up being just as delicious as they are beautiful! The dishes them selves are worthy of a photo opp. Everything was great! We left full and happy. Be sure to ask for the server, Mimi, when you go! We had no clue what to get, but she asked us about our tastes and made recommendations accordingly. She is so happy and full of energy. She really took the time to chat and joke with us and give good recommendations!
I came here from hearing all the rave reviews from my bother and sister in law as they have been coming for almost 10 years now. How did i not know? I must have been living under a rock. Either way our family of 11 decided to weather the snow storm for some good food and boy was not disappointed! The restaurant was surprisingly spacious inside, with the exterior of the building giving it a deceiving feel of anything Rainier Ave.The service was like at typical Asian restaurants. Cold, fast, and no nonsense, a great first sign to great Asian food.We ordered throng choy salad and I can understand why it's so pricey. It's amazingly freah and delish, probably the reason why Anthony Bourdain came to the restaurant to try the dish. I've never had it and felt I've been missing out all these time!We got done pho. Nothing mind blowing just typical goodness. The party had some sort ribs player which was a big hit as expected. We got some honey walnut shrimp to see if it's comparable to honey court and it's pretty good. The salt pepper squid was exceptionally good as well. The house special chow mein was hard to eat. The crispy noodles was not proportioned to the dish so it was hard to mix.All in all, the experience was great! Food was amazing! Amazing enough that i found myself back a few days later with a friend after reading about it.
being going here for years. best Vietnamese food in Seattle hands down. Staff is amazing too, our server mimi was amazing and full of energy. they also have the best selection of Vietnamese bar foods, I'm a huge fan of snails and clams, so this was definitely the place for me!
One of South Seattle's gems. An extensive menu that you'll want to work your way through. Crispy Catfish is amazing, Crab Noodle Soup, Spicy Beef Soup and Shaking Beef are top notch. Adventurous? Try the Balut (steamed fertile duck egg).Mimi is a great waitress and can guide you through the menu.
My entire experience at this fine dining establishment was phenomenal. The food, excellent, the atmosphere, indulging, and last but definitely not least, the service was beyond my expectations. Mimi, our gracious waitress, was on top of our every request even going beyond and servicing us before we even needed it. Water close to empty? Consider it filled. Leftovers? Boxed. Customers? Satisfied. #food #enjoy
As a disabled person, i really have a hard time going to places because unfortunately our society as a whole see us as a burden because most people are too impatient to take on older folks like me and especially the ones that have to use a walker to move around. Well the other night when I met up with an old friend for dinner down there at Rainier Restaurant and BBQ. Our server was a very nice and funny gal by the name of Mimi and i hope I have her name spelled correct. She was such a sweetheart with her southern accent and kept us entertained with some stories about how life was living in Seattle compared to her home state of New Orleans. My friend and I both agreed we haven't interacted with anyone so energetic and spunky for a server in along time. You can tell she loves her job and has a fun time doing it as well. She was so patient with us and even taught us how to pronounce some of the names of the dishes in her native tongue. The food we ate was absolutely amazing leaving us both very satisfied. She always made sure our drinks were topped off and she always came by to check up on us as well. Good help is hard to come by these days and Mimi definitely deserves some kudos and a big raise!
Love this spot! Definitely a local favorite so be sure to reserve a table. Staff were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and prompt. The food was fantastic! I would recommend to anyone to go chill and have a great meal with a few drinks. Don't forget to ask for Ahlisa, she's a great server!
I'm pretty sure everything on the menu is delicious and I'm well on my way through the whole thing. I especially like the grilled bbq shrimp skewers and the lemon grass dishes, but everything I've tried has been amazing! Today, Ly was my server and she's very friendly and helpful. She knows the menu perfectly and can recommend great choices!
An excellent place to have some great food and service. I got a beer with some orange spice flavor. I will come back shortly. Vu, a waiter there, went above and beyond my expectations. Keep it up, bud.
Food was ok, a little pricier than normal. Their seafood dishes are very good
