Absolutely delicious! I figured I got a fairly plain bagel but the salty oil added such an intense explosion of flavor in each bite. Their toaster wasn’t working today, but honestly it didn’t make a difference, it was so so so good!! The soft bagel might be my preference going forward ?
Such a cute bagel place. We tried the Ramone and the Liam and Noel bagel sandwiches. A great way to start the morning. I also appreciated the inclusive environment they created. I felt that the values of the business aligned with mine! Hope to come back when I return to Seattle.
Highly overrated. I came here on recommendation from Kenji Lopez Alt and I gotta say disappointing breakfast sanny. The Bobby D has almost no flavor. Egg patty is weird and dense and unsalted. No sauce, super dry, not enough cheese. Bagel is super average just tastes like a grocery store shelf bagel
Outside of NY, you can enjoy tasty bagels at Rachel’s. We were drawn to the options of Zatar and Togorashi bagels. The lox is amazing and should be considering the restaurant is located in the PNW. We also enjoyed the McJoey biscuit sandwich. Prices of sandwiches matches pandemic/inflation. Support your local shops!Only takeout/to go orders at the moment, so no indoor seating. Shop is situated in a neighborhood called Ballard. Lots of nice boutiques, cafes, breweries, and restaurants within walking distance.
I love the lox because it's not stinky or overpowering. The pickled peppers are an awesome touch. Poppy-cherry bagel with huckleberry cream cheese is a must. Go here.
Great service and I really wanted to like the bagel sandwiches but I just didn't. I got a lox / cream cheese / cucumber bagel sandwich and my partner got a vegetarian kale / cheese / egg breakfast sandwich. The bagels were not toasted and were really moist / soft. The flavor profiles and texture felt off (kale was watery, not enough lox and too much cream cheese etc), and man, each bagel sandwich was $15?!?! It seems quite pricey for something frankly not that good. :( I'm bummed I spent so much money for the quality.
Rachel's is new to us and we LOVED IT for breakfast. Worth the drive trekking through Seattle to get to their location. We shared, half each, The Luis one pound breakfast burrito and The Nick and Nora bagel. Flavors blended well and burst in your mouth for an extremely enjoyable and fulfilling breakfast!
Um, wow. Just wow! Yum. Yummy. Yum, yum.I had the Bobby D's with the Everything Chili Crisp and it was delicious. Perhaps a bit more salty than expected, but still very enjoyable. Um, it is a salty sandwich.I can't wait to go back.
Yes!! Found my new bagel spot! I got the Togarashi bagel with the smoked salmon, capers and cucumbers (forget the name of the particular sandwich now). I asked for a thinner (but not totally thin) layer of cream cheese- that seemed to be the way to go. The smoked salmon, cucumbers and capers were all delicious. The next time I go, I'll ask for my bagel to be heated up, but aside from that, really delicious and satisfying!
This is our favorite neighborhood breakfast burrito spot for a weekend treat. Excellent quality brekkie burrito packed with all the goodies. The Raquel is our favorite and we eat one a week! I just wish they were open a bit later than 1PM when that afternoon burrito craving strikes!
