Always a great experience and food!
The homemade pasta was delicious as usual! We love this neighborhood spot!
We were celebrating a birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure an enjoyable and memorable experience. The meal was fantastic - cannot say enough about the mint gelato.
Another phenomenal meal at Raccolto, and the service by Gino was excellent. I do have an issue though. I had requested a booth, as our daughter was visiting from Houston. I had noted this on the reservation thru Open Table. We just thought a booth provided a bit of quieter privacy that would be nice to converse. This has occurred now three times at Raccolto where a table preference is ignored when we arrive. I realize there are only three booths, so I understood that they were full when we arrived for our 6:00 reservation. But both tables for four were open, with the windows open and a beautiful breeze coming in. I told the manager that I had requested a booth, but one of the tables by the window would be perfect. His dry comment back was that he had us slated to sit upstairs. I simply said that will not work, and he unenthusiastically sat us at the window. We come to Raccolto at last once a month, and our server Gino even recognized us. I also recognized the manager, but he gave no recognition to us as prior guests. I know Open Table has the ability to identify guests that have visited previously, and even what they have ordered. Very disappointed that this occurred when we arrived, but the meal was again perfect.
Did the chef's tasting menu and it was amazing and there wasn't a single dish that I didn't love.
delicious meal, very attentive service, innovative food without being "cute".
Usually this restaurant gets my top ratings over the past several years. This time we had the tasting menu. I was not impressed. The chefâs choices should have some logic to them. The appetizers were okay or at least 2 out of 3 were. But the food while mostly cooked well, seemed inconsistent. The service was also mediocre by someone who pretended to know wines, and said âgreat choiceâ a little too often. The dessert was downright awful. I would go again but not give the chef any choice in what I eat.
We did the tasting menu. Ahi app, bruschetta. House salad, pasta w anchovy type fish, scallops w corona beans. Nothing was very interesting or impressive. Scallop dish was downright boring. Dessert was tiramisu w cherry- not my taste.
Excellent food. A bit noisy with the music for a romantic date night but food was very good.
Great service, so-so food. We had the Chefâs tasting menu which was nothing special and not worth the price. The pasta was gummy and sticky and over salted. The salmon was very good but a tiny portion for two people. This a solid restaurant but not great. Way above mama Molinas but below restaurants like Spinasse or the old Anchovies and Olives
