We have eaten here about ten times. Petra deserves one of my rare, treasured ***** reviews. The decor and music are the real thing. There are no TVs blaring at you as you begin to enjoy their superb Jordanian cuisine. Good-sized menu accompanies an alcohol page and dessert addendum. I just love the hummus plate with garlic and pine nuts and warm pita bread. My wife really liked her salmon dinner. We could not resist the 2-1 dessert special so we carted home some special baklava as a domestic remembrance and pigged out with the honey and pistachio nuts later in the evening. The service is very attentive, professional, and appreciative.
Petra is a fine place, I went with the falafel plate and a side of hummus, the falafel was nicely done, crisp, not a lot of oil, perfectly balanced taste. The tahini hint was amazing. Hummus was good as well, though I think the lemon squeeze was just on the lemon fiber end, overall great option for a Mediterranean lunch/dinner in Seattle
Love the atmosphere of Petra’s and the surrounding neighborhood. Foods is incredible. I tried the Spanokapeta and Mezza plate off the appetizer menu.
Delicious Mediterranean food with great variety of options. Our server was warm and friendly.
We stopped for lunch while in Belltown based on TA reviews. It was comfortable with good service, and we were able to get light food for lunch. We had humus with pitta and a chicken wrap, and they were all good.
Food here is delicious. I love getting the gyro plate with soup on the side. They also have baklava. You might be interested in buying their soup kit if you like the soup.
There were some good spots; the Falafel starters and the Baba Ganoush side were good. Falafel was crisp on the outside, tasty on the inside. The BG had a slight kick to it that was just right, although I would have liked a little more lemon. There were some issues though. When all four of us didn't finish a salad, then something is wrong. Plenty of greens, nice portion, but killed by less than average dressing. How can you mess up a balsamic vinaigrette? I know how to do it, but I'm an average cook.
Wow - we were totally blown away by this amazing spot! The food was on point (incredible quality and portion sizes), the ambiance was so homey and warm, and the staff was welcoming and kind.
A great find for us-thanks Trip Advisor. A very pleasant dinner on an overnight in Seattle. Nice environment and service. We shared a calamari appetizer. We both chose their Veggie Plate for our main dish. Everything excellent. The plate comes with falafels, grape leaf rolls, hummus, and baba ghanous. Good beer on tap. Wonderful meal.
This is exactly what you expect from a Mediterranean cuisine restaurant. Delicious, generous portions, attentive service, pleasant dining experience. Would definitely eat here again and again. You are going to be stuffed so get the house baklava to go.
