Very busy around 2 pm. All or almost all tables full. Service pretty good but it seemed like the kitchen was very slow. We kept wondering when our food would arrive. We saw another couple leave because their food took too long even though they had asked a few times when their food be coming. But once our food came, it was very good. I had Western Egg Benedict which came with corned beef with the Benedict and hash browns. 3 eggs. Two perfectly poached with a runny yolk. One was too firm. My son had a breakfast burrito which was very good too. They had quite a few juices and beer. The menu had some items corrected as to quantity and prices but not new information wrote in. Looks like some prices went. No surprise with our National Inflation King in office. Layout of the restaurant was not good. Two restrooms were in the back corner but you had to walk by the narrow area where the staff picked up orders. Not good for customers nor staff.
Great food and excellent service. Street parking nearby, but did not have to walk far at all.We got their Benedict’s which had a very rich hollandaise sauce and great awesome hash browns!Waffles were okay and did not blow us away, but nonetheless, a good quality for your buck!Seems like a very quaint and friendly neighborhood
Stayed in Ballard for 6 days and went here for breakfast every day. Affordable and delicious and never had a wait except the weekend (and even then it was short). The staff are so kind and amazing and the food is DELICIOUS. The avocado toast is unreal. Go here!
Looking for a greasy spoon breakfast in the Greenwood area of Seattle? Then head over to Pete's Egg Nest! If you're craving old school hash browns, biscuits & gravy, or an omelette, this place is definitely worth the wait. Recommendations: 1) Breakfast on a Biscuit with scrambled eggs, topped with sausage gravy and cheddar cheese. 2) Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs with biscuits and gravy. 3) Hobo Omelette with sausage links, mushrooms, onions, and cheddar.
Went there on a Sunday morning around 11:00am for brunch and as expected there was a short wait for a table. The food came out quickly after we placed our orders and it was delicious. As others have mentioned, the lemon ricotta pancakes are definitely worth trying. They are light, fluffy with a not too strong lemony taste. Sausages and eggs were well seasoned and tasty. Portions are big. Would love to come back to try other dishes.
Great little and cozy family-oriented restaurant in Greenwood, Seattle. My children and I had breakfast at Pete's Eggnest while on family visit on March 03, 2022 and we enjoyed our breakfast. Pete's Eggnest has a variety of affordable breakfast choices as well as beverages. We were acknowledged as soon as we walked inside. Our server was friendly and pleasant and kept checking in on us. We were given several coffee refills and our meals were delicious. We definitely will be visiting Pete's Eggnest again.
I’ve gone to Pete’s Eggnest every time my boyfriend and I go out for brunch for the past 5 months or so. Most times we have a great experience despite the small area, the servers are attentive and food is delicious. Today was a very different experience. We sat outside since it was sunny and beautiful. It took over 30 minutes from the time we ordered our food to get it. We watched as other people who were sat after us eat and leave. I understand rushes happen, but almost 40 min went by and no one even checked on us. Great food, but just know if you sit outside you will be surrounded by those waiting to get seated inside, and the servers might forget about you.
We came to Pete's on the recommendation of the friend we were staying with for a few days. I was delighted to find chilaquiles on the menu, which I never see in Colorado, but the Greek sausage and eggs was intriguing, Our server said the chilaquiles was her favorite so I went with that. My husband got the Migas (chorizo and eggs). The food was absolutely delicious, so we may go back and try the Greek Loukaniko sausage eggs!

Delicious delicious food!! Was kinda hard to get refill on coffee at one point.. had to ask 3x since they were busy. But outside of that, very friendly staff and yummy food!
