Always great quality and service. Call ahead if you're looking for gluten free so they can go ahead and put a fresh batch of water on! My favorite is the gf potato dumplings razerback style.
My husband and myself were finally able to get to their new "location". Wich is just next door from their old one. They have more room and a bar now! I am excited to come back and have a few drinks on a later date.I had the classic mix and its still good as it was before. My husband had the Khan dumplings, that he liked. And we shared some "fry" dumplings that are really good with sour cream. Next time we visit we want to try one of the desert dumplings that come with icecream! This is one of the places we take our out of town friends for food, and every one has loved it.
Dumpling Tzar is an excellent little joint. "The Classic" is my go-to, but I've tried most of their other options, and the majority are good. I'd highly recommend eating here, especially if you are looking to throw some variety into your culinary experience.
The hosts are incredibly rude.. no customer service skills at all.. FIRE THESE RUDE GIRLS AND GET EMPLOYEES WHO ARE COURTEOUS!! The food takes so long to prepare... and is NOT Worth my time or money!! I'd give u 0 stars if I could worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant!! Would NOT RECCOMMEND!! Go to WOW BOA!!!
It's more of a fast food place. Pelmeni were tasty but smallish and not very satisfying, the vinegar broth overwhelming in sweetness. The frozen ones at any regular Russian store are better.
Dumplings were excellent, but the cost is very high for what you get. I ordered a regular which is $11 dollars and thought I got tricked based on the tiny container for food I got.
Went there with our friends to introduce them to Russian dish “pelmeni” and were really disappointed. Everything on the menu has nothing common with pelmeni or dumpling. The dough is thick and the meat inside doesn’t taste good. I wanted to wash my mouth after I tried the food. I felt so uncomfortable in this place, the waitress no welcoming attitude at all. Strange place! There was no people, I think I understand why ? Don’t confuse your customers, you can’t name what you serve pelmeni.Oh and by the way, vareniki are not fries. What the hell?
Wonderful people serving magical food. I had an order of the classic and it changed my lifexD but really please go here.
Great place! I only ever had Chinese-style dumpling so I was surprised to get 12-20 tiny ones. But they're so good!I highly recommend The Greek, with my second favorite being The Traditional (be sure to try the traditional dumpling dipped in the included sour cream! good without too, but it's there for a reason!)
I'm giving this one star because of a very particular issue I have with this business's practices, not their food.In fact I adore their food and I've been a regular for years. I love coming here....BUT!...and this is especially during the pandemic: it pains me to see ONE WORKER pouring drinks, working the register, handling online and phone orders, AND making meals simultaneously. I am a server and bartender, I can empathize with the current labor shortage, but I have experienced this on more than one occasion. The poor worker handling so many responsibilities always seems overwhelmed and had to deal with irritated and angry customers who may not have as much industry experience and empathy as I do. In my opinion this person either needs to be paid for the labor of the three person team they are compensating for or the restaurant needs to actively search for more staff. Barring not finding this staff I believe the restaurant should adjust their hours. This kind of behavior that obviously takes advantage of servers/cooks/bartenders (or in this case, all three in one person) has run rampant during the pandemic and I am appalled. I myself have been subject to skeleton crew situations, desperately trying to fill the gaps to keep the business afloat while literally risking my life and health being exposed to too-many-to-count points of contact for Corona transmission, but even in the worst of shifts I've never had to take on so many responsibilities at once. I can't see why this situation is acceptable and why I've personally seen it firsthand on more than one occasion in the past year.
