Wonderful restaurant with incredible views, excellent food and great service.
Easily our worst restaurant experience of 2022. We used to celebrate regularly at Palisades pre-pandemic and were excited to return for a belated Fathers Day/ birthday, but brunch today was incredibly disappointing, nixed buffet notwithstanding. Exactly six plated choices on the menu, no waffles or fruit, no sides, appetizers or desserts although they did serve a side of bacon and fruit when asked. Youâd have more choice in hotel room service for half the price. The two Benedicts ordered were served with hard poached yolks with no offer to comp them on the menu, only to wait for better eggs. My tea was lukewarm. Crabmeat looked brownish grey. Frittata and hash were o.k. but not worth the price. Two people working in the kitchen and 7-8 floor staff mostly standing around. Dining room mostly empty. This place has nose dived and we wonât be back. Do yourself a favor and eat brunch at Lowellâs in the market instead - we ate there a few weeks ago and it was outstanding in every way. Palisades really ought to shut down, re-think the experience and re-open with an execution worthy of the location and its heritage.
We haven't been to Palisade since before the pandemic and we were very disappointed that the quality has gone way down. Really poor service this time and food was meh.
Great service. Sandra was very attentive and helpful. At this price point there shouldn't be any food issues. Wallpaper paste grits. Over cooked and dry pork. Pasta was waaayyyy overcooked and lacked depth. The molten chocolate cake is not molten, bland, overly sweet and wasn't good at at. We will not be back untill they can figure out how to cook.
The appetizer Warm Crab & Lobster Dip had quite a bit of spice to it, which wasn't in the description. The Salemville Blue Cheese & Crisp Pear Salad was phenomenal. The Seared Alaskan Halibut was done perfectly, although the Crab Stuffed Colossal Prawns was a bit tough and oily. The service was amazing, our server Trish was attentive throughout the dinner and made us feel very welcome. We will most certainly return.
Tricia was absolutely fantastic and we had the best service ever!! She was very professional, poised and fun to chat with She is tops!!
I made a reservation for my parents anniversary dinner about 40 min beforehand and they still managed to pull out the stops to make it so special for them with a sweet card, great service, and a celebratory creme brí»lée topped with candles for them to make a wish for the next 30 years of marriage! Not to mention the food was so good. Their off menu special was a sake marinated black cod on a shrimp cake and it was SO good. Will definitely be coming back. Such a great place for a celebratory dinner!
All was good food wise. need more good glass pour wines from Wa, Thx, Don Sommelier
I have been coming to Palisade for decades to celebrate special occasions. For our 10 year anniversary we decided to have dinner there. The views were spectacular and our service provided by Lisa was excellent. However, the food and drinks were a disappointment. I had two crab stuffed prawns which were good but 2 for $ 42 with some cous cous didn't seem like a good value. My husband had the prime rib which wasn't very tender. The drinks tasted ok but seemed overpriced. I know that restaurants are trying to recoup losses after the shutdowns and I've seen this same pattern at other nice restaurants. I hope that the restaurants won't lose the great reputations for food, service and value in the short term that they've worked to develop over several decades just because they are trying to make up short term losses. We had a similar experience at Stanley & Seaforts in Tacoma. It is a big deal for us to decide to eat out with inflation so when the food isn't what you expect it is disappointing.
You canât go wrong with anything on the menu. This place is amazing!
