Service : 5/10Food: 7/10Concept: 8/10Price: $$$Though my experience was adequate if you're itching for a new way to conceptualize korean food, I guess its worth a try. My server wasn't too knowledgeable with the food however.
Food here is pretty good and delicious, it is more of a Korean fusion cuisine with delicate flavors. However, the price is pretty expensive given the portion of each dish is pretty small, and the ingredients are rather normal. The speed of serving the dishes is pretty quick, so you can finish the meal quickly even if you are in a rush.Still, give it a try if you are not so hungry and would try something special for Korean fusion cuisine!
IG: aki_caloriesdiaryWent on a Sunday evening with reservation. Small menu but the 3 starters and 2 mains are all delicious! Waiters introduced each dish a bit when they served it. Small portion and the bill came out $140 for two people. And we weren’t quite full, so a $$$.? Octopus 10/10?The first dish was awesome! Grilled to perfection with crispy outside. Many layers of flavors with the orange, tomato and spicy ssamjang.? Sea Bream Crudo 7/10?A light one. Would be good if it comes out first. The grapefruit and blood orange are bit tanginess.? Beef Tartare 8.5/10?At first we thought it’s cucumber kimchi but it’s actually Korean Pear with spicy flavor. The seaweed cracker added more points to it.? Paju Fried Rice 10/10 ?Highly recommended! I’ve tried many Korean fried rice at different places and this one is a winner. The squid ink flavor and bacon really bring it to another level. And the rice is just cooked to perfection. Almost ended up ordering another one.? Herb Crusted Lamb 10/10?This one also really stood out! Cooked to perfection-tender and juicy. The herbs flavor blended well with the sauce. The creamy farro on side with cucumber also brought more textures.
Came here for my birthday and had a wonderful time! Plates were timed nicely, everything was delicious, and the staff was super nice. We got the rutubaga ribbons, salmon rillettes, beef tartare, paju crispy pancake, truffle rib-eye steak bulgogi, and the panna Cotta. Loved the creamy salmon rillettes, pancake edges were super crispy and I've never seen it okonomiyaki style, which was super good too. Beef tartare was also refreshing. The ribbons threw me off because I think it's made of white kimchi? And I couldn't taste much of the truffle in the bulgogi but it was still a solid dish. I looved the yuja Panna Cotta and the crunchy/crispy blueberries with burnt marshmallowy cream on top. So good! Would definitely recommend this place for a date night or nice dinner with friends. The ambience was really cute as well.
Honestly probably the best food I have had in Seattle so far. Absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to go back.
Their dishes were exceptional!Ordered several dishes to share and 4 appetizers and 4 bigger dishes were enough to feed 6 small adults. While we enjoyed everything we ordered, truffle bulgogi, beef tartar, and fried rice was unbelievably delicious. ?Will definitely be back. :)
Excellent service with beautiful presentation. Wait time for the four items we ordered was 10 minutes. Excellent wine selection to match with the distinct taste of the menu items.
We went in at 9:20pm and they happily took us in (closes at 10). We had seafood pancake, chicken wings, bulgogi truffle rice, squid ink garlic fried rice (? name unknown). It was very creative, flavors were good, service was good too. One of us is allergic to shellfish and milk, but we still had a great meal. Per person price was around 30, including service and tip.
When my husband chose this spot for our date night, I had no idea what to expect. I'm actually still not even sure how to describe it-What I do know is that Paju is the most interesting take on Korean cuisine that I've ever experienced. For starters, if you've never been here before the waiter will explain that everything is shared and family-style, which is pretty typical for Korean food. Knowing this, we ordered the fried chicken, octopus, beef tartare, bulgogi, and desert.Everything was perfect! The portions, the flavor, the sauces, the very patient explanations of each dish by our server...immaculate. This was also the most attentive and well-paced service that I've ever received. They brought out each dish at the perfect time, they brought the check at the perfect time, and even spoke to us at the perfect time. Even the music was perfect! The restaurant itself isn't large, but since there were only a few other patrons on a Thursday evening I hardly noticed.I'm normally very long winded in my reviews, but I have nothing but great things to say about Paju. If you're thinking about coming, stop thinking and go!
Wow what a hidden gem! Not your usual Korean food here but it’s a must try! We got the seafood pancake, bulgogi, fried rice, and chicken wings! My favorite was the pancake and fried rice, the bulgogi was okay, fried chicken was good! Overall good place for family style!
