A welcome stop on my way west. Great dinner, nice drinks, fine folk. You add live music and it's amazing. Thanks for letting me wet my whistle.
Lonely Planet recommended, and it was RIGHT-off the tourist path. Mostly locals. You can sit in the bar and be loud or find a quiet table. I disagree with reviewers who describe this as a dive barIt’s not. Friendly. Smallish but tasty menu.
I attended a reception here. This place has a great ambiance and is a Seattle institution. I has some of their delicious chicken wings and an IPA. This is in the alley right behind 1st ave. It's a great location. I highly recommend the owl n' thistle for a after work beer if you work, visit or live in downtown.
Really great pub. I would say this place has something for most with a cozy livingroom style area, an intimate stage space, and a pool table and darts. Missed the kitchen both times we went here, but the bartender was friendly and we enjoyed our time here.
Comfortable and friendly Irish hole in the wall. Everything you expect from a post alley pub. The Guinness flows and the whiskey is poured heavily. Great food and music, what's not to like.
A Classic bar with a lot of character. Great place to hang out and play some pool or some darts with good music in the background. To top it off. THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS IN SEATTLE!! That's right all caps. Try it. You won't regret it.
This place Was a hole with a capital S. I wouldnt recommend it to any one. Drinks are watered down staff is rude and possibly using drugs while attempting to pad the bill. Never had an issue with my credit card until I used it there then all of the sudden my credit alert let me know that my card ended up on the dark web and it was tracked back to this establishment. The only good thing about this place was that if you couldn't prove that you've been vaccinated then you were turned away.

Fish and chips
Atmosphere was nice. Waitress was courteous and attentive. Food was delicious and reasonably priced.Had fish 'n chips, and Guinness beef stew. The stew and soda bread were killer! Hearty, flavorful and just right on a chilly evening. The fish was maybe a bit oily, and the fries were heavily seasoned (which I like, but some may not). The star of the dish is the tartar sauce! Not sure if they make it in-house or not, I just know it was real good.Definitely would go back.
