Amazing service and absolutely delicious caramel iced latte! Love the flavor of the beans they get from Passerine Coffee Roasters. Definitely one of my favorite coffee places in Seattle.
TLDR: Above and beyond service, friendly vibes, and great coffee!Walked in on a quest for beans and some bean juice to get the day started. Was greeted with smiles and friendly welcomes, which is often hard to find in this dark and cruel world. My partner and I ordered a vanilla almond milk latte and an americano. Both drinks were very good. Latte was well balanced and delicious. The americano was smooth and also expertly extracted to give a full flavor profile party across my palate. I picked up a bag of their espresso blend beans and was pleasantly suprised to see how recent their roast date was (I commonly find old beans being sold on the shelves of other stores and it saddens me). The owner then accurately concluded that it would be in my best interest to wait a few days before actually using those beans to allow them to offgas. As I was coming to terms with having to wait to taste these tantalizing beans, the owner unprompted offered to send me on my way with some ready to use beans on the house. This really made my day and they have earned my respect and business for as long as I live in Seattle.
Not only was my latte perfect (and topped with latte art!), but the snickerdoodle cookie I paired it with was also heaven--large, soft and just the right amount of cinnamon.
I moved to the Capital Hill area in Seattle not too long ago and had checked out every coffee shop in the area, looking for a golden spot in the neighborhood. Overcast Coffee Company was fairly new when I came in and it was immediately the best coffee I’ve ever had. Shortly after Overcast became my go to spot, I started working here and it has easily became my favorite experience. Everything about this business, the team, the atmosphere, the coffee, the community, etc., is truly amazing and I can’t recommend it enough for everyone to experience.
I had their drip black coffee and it was AMAZING. I tasted all the nuanced flavors like milk chocolate and berries. I've been comparing all my other coffees on my vacation based on that one and I haven't found one that compares yet.
Visited this coffee shop during a day of bad news at the doctor, and it was the best experience. The guy working this morning (I wish I could remember his name!) was so charismatic and friendly, totally made me forget about everything, and made a cute design with the foam before putting the lid on. I've never been to a place that does that. He brought my bagel outside to me while I waited in the sun. It just felt like an elite experience. I could hear him treating every other customer as if he's known them forever, too. Thanks for brightening my day.
I was in the neighborhood a few weeks back and stopped by on a whim. The owner was working that day and we had a nice chat, really nice shop and great coffee. I ended up also picking up a bag of beans from Passerine which I'm now entirely obsessed with. A real local gem.
Great little spot. The owner was really friendly, which is impressive before sunrise. I had a delicious americano and probably one of the best croissant breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. I’m looking forward to checking out his other location on 10th and Union.
A great business run by great people. A staple of our last visit to Seattle, and we'll be back. Their flat white would hold up in Melbourne ✊
The highlight of my week is going to Overcast for a cappuccino. The espresso is smooth, and the ratio of milk to espresso is top notch. I’m also always so amazed by how friendly the baristas are. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!
