07/16/2022: I have always wanted to visit this food stall ever since I read an article about it. When we got there, the counter was packed. We didn't know how to order so we asked a customer. We were directed to the front of the store where we could order and pay. My friend and I each ordered the fried bangus (milkfish) and salmon sinigang (soup) plate which comes with steamed rice and pancit. We also ordered 3 pieces of Shanghai lumpia. We were then directed to the back to find a seat. Since hubby ordered a poke bowl from the vendor across the walkway, we sat at their counter since it was empty. Our Filipino great arrived quickly. Our meals were served on melamine plates and bowls. The lumpia was skinny and long and served with sweet and sour dipping sauce. The fried bangus was crispy and truly delicious. The rice and pancit cut the richness of the fish. The salmon sinigang was simply divine. I loved the sour tamarind flavor and the fresh leafy veggies. The soup was made with salmon collar so that gave the fish a rich, melt-in-your-mouth texture. No wonder this dish is what they're known for.I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. I wish I could have tried their adobo and other Filipino dishes. The food is cooked in true, traditional style. This place is a total gem in Pike Place Market. I look forward to returning someday.

Tia Leila and Tia Joy were super friendly and very charming, loved seeing them engage with all their regulars! The Pork Adobo was a little bit bland and not as tender as I've had other places, but the sambal and spicy vinegar made it all quite tasty!

Pork adobo was amazing, and the staff is soooo friendly, great way to start the day

My second trip to try the food but it's been closed both times. Oh well maybe 3rd time is the charm.

Location :Pike Place MarketSeattle(same side/a few steps away from the Starbucks outlet)After reading about it's recognition and seeing them featured in travel vlogs, I knew it had to be a food destination in this trip.Luck was sure on our side as we were not only guided to it's location but, was also recommended the best item on the menu!James, on duty at the Visit Seattle Visitor Information Kiosk right by the Pike Place Market/Post Alley (going to the Gum Wall) was the epitome of a Seattle Ambassador! At first glance, Oriental Mart's storefront could mislead you and thereby miss it.Step up to whoever is manning upfront, and there on the table, where everyone pays for purchases, is the handwritten menu.Looking the menu over, we were torn on the different items we wanted.Thankfully, we remembered what James recommended, the "Trust Me" plate.Problem solved! Turns out, the Trust Me plate contains a bit of everything in the menu! After putting in our order, we were led to a bar-like counter at the back of the store. And then (!).... it came, a plateful of delicious Filipino food that, at first glance, will probably puzzle some diners.Nevermind plating aesthetics, it is what makes your mouth and stomach happy that matters! And (!), I do mean happy! As I gobbled up my Trust Me plate, which consisted of:AdoboChicken CurryAfritadaLongganisaA bowl of Salmon Sinigangand (!) completing the feast, RICE!The owner also graciously gave us a taste of the Boneless Daing na Bangus which, we would have regretted not tasting as it was simply mmmmm....delicious!My only regret (but, I would rather regret given another chance to dine there again) is that they do not serve coffee.Writing this just reminds me of one of the best meals we had in Seattle and I highly recommend everyone go and experience a very unique dining experience but, well worth it!Be forewarned: If you expect dining with the usual restaurant ambiance (table setting, folded napkins set, etc.), this is a totally different experience BUT, let this NOT deter you....GO!

What a gem! This place, although you couldn't actually go inside the store, was wonderfully charming. We got 3 of the 5 things on the menu today, and all were delicious! The longonisa especially ?The two sisters running this joint are incredibly friendly, and everyone at the food service bar next to us were locals/had obviously been there many many times. I am definitely adding this place to the "must revisit" list!

Nice selection of Filipino products!

This was featured in YouTube. Good think I went and it was open on a Monday. Food is great. Sinigang salmon is good. No wonder Andrew Zimmerman loved it too. You know what is a plus, the people behind the store are so friendly.

Excellent Philippino food, but get there early before they run out of some of their menu items.

My friends & I had to visit this place since she has won the prestigious James Beard award for Filipino cuisine! Her food was delish! Every meal starts with steam rice and pancit and then u pick 2 entrees. The portions were big and she even gives u a soup broth to go with your meal! We were in Seattle for 5 days and we went there 2X! Highly recommend this place if u want to try Filipino food.
