May have some connection to Musashis with chirashi bowls, but not sure. That being said, I wish this place offered chirashi bowls because those are amazing. It's a place for rolls and drinks. Yohan gave great recommendations to us, shout-out to him!Anyway, the rolls here are fairly large. Lots of rice and presented relatively well. They have nigiri too! It's not shown on the wall menu but there are smaller menus near the cash register that are more up to date.I can't comment too much on the drinks, but they have a fair variety. All of the rolls are similar with small nuances about what's included or what's excluded. I doubt you can go wrong with any of them. Four stars for being above average but not exceptionally "wow"ing. Would be back if i'm in the area. Chirashis like at Musashis would be convincing, however.
Sushi tastes great and is a pretty decent value to boot. Order ahead as it can take a while to prepare. IMO the best sushi rolls you're going to get in Ballard. Only downside is the somewhat limited selection of fish, but if thats what it takes to keep up quality and price I'm all for it. Absolutely worth a try!
This review is for the sushi - I ordered the inside out roll (which was supposed to be spicy tuna and spicy Mayo) and the spicy salmon roll, and nothing was even a tiny bit spicy or flavorful. What even more strange is that it didn’t have any taste. It didn’t taste bad, but it tasted like nothing. You can’t taste any salt or vinegar in the rice, the raw fish didn’t even have a taste. I mixed the entire serving size of wasabi with one small soy sauce packed and even the wasabi mixture wasn’t spicy. Its weird. The place is clean and modern, and the people are nice, but I’m so shocked how bland it was. The only thing that had flavor was the ginger on the side
I like this spot, I'm just here to change my tires at the pep boys across the street but if I lived here I'd definitely come here to study or do some work, they have comfy couches
Lukewarm sushi, took nearly 40 minutes in store for two rolls. When we finally got it, the fish and cucumber was doust in so much lemon juice that it's all you could taste. Maybe an attempt at keeping the ingredients fresh for longer? Red flag.
I've tried this place twice once for coffee another for the food. I only wrote this review because the coffee was so bad on my 2nd visit. Coffee tastes like water and is terrible. For food I got an unagi bowl and sushi roll and the roll was terrible it was falling apart and didn't have much in it. They did hook it up with the unagi however so I don't think this place is the worst just gotta know what items on the menu will actually deliver.
Fast service, limited selections but what they do have is great
Very mushy sushi. Not a ton of flavor, it kind of felt like all the ingredients were mushed together and then put in the roll. The sushi pieces are very large, kind of difficult to fit into your mouth.
my fiancé and i recently moved to Seattle a few months back, and i’m a huge fan of good sushi. i finally had the chance to try out Musashi’s Shrimp Tempura (my favorite roll) and it did not disappoint. i will definitely be ordering more often !!
Less than $10??? What a deal
