...time with my partner´s truly gracious, lovely, smart family and occasion to come back to Monsoon. Here are the family style plates I loved: eggplant asparagus drunken chicken salt and pepper wings. Reputedly, the spare ribs were also excellent. My tequila drink (with pineapple, lime juice and hot pepper) was perfect.

I loved this place?, definitely one of my favorite places. Food was super delicious, i tried 2 different salads and 3 different type rolls in a visit ? stuff was super friendly too. 15/10 ??????

Monsoon saved my birthday???After a previously chosen restaurant didn't work out on my birthday, my family stumbled into Monsoon on a cloudy day.Best. Mistake. Ever.My previous experience with Vietnamese food was limited to pho and Bahn mi. Neither can be found on Monsoon's menu, but you won't miss them.Starter:Salt and pepper wings were savory, tangy, delicious and fresh. The papaya salad was another excellent choice.Mains: while the prawn curry was fantastic, the claypot catfish stole the show. The catfish is beautifully light and has a hint of peppery sweetness - goes great over rice. The crab fried rice was not stunning but sturdy, and drunken chicken disappointed with intense sweetness and overly heavy breading.Dessert: We were not planning on dessert but got one free for my birthday ? The waiter brought out banana cake with a sweetened coconut milk. The cake itself tastes like a nice banana bread, but it's the coconut milk that elevates it.Monsoon's food is warm and comforting on a cold day. Bring a date or a business associate to the beautiful dining space and cozy bar ? Highly recommended!

FANTASTIC NEIGHBORHOOD VIETNAMESE RESTAURANT AND BAR. BEAUTIFUL AND FLAVORFUL DISHES. FRIENDLY SERVICE. GET THE SALT AND PEPPER CHICKEN WINGS, SPICY GREEN BEANS AND DRUNKEN CHICKEN.

During a recent visit to Seattle, we had the pleasure of dining at Monsoon with 8 family members we hadn't seen in over 30 years. Tyler, our server, was fantastic! We ordered several items and all had a tasting of each. We enjoyed them all and look forward to dining there again.

Delicious food! Make sure you get a reservation.Wings, eggplant, pork chop, and beef are must orders! You can pass on the string beans...

Came during restaurant week. Pic 1: cocktails - Sayulita in the back and forgot the other one. Pic 2: drunken chicken and prawn curry. Pic 3: banana cake. The drinks are great, pretty strong and complex in flavor. The drunken chicken is decently fried but the sauce is a bit on the sweet side. The prawn curry is tasty but very dry, as I usually prefer watery curry to go with rice.We also ordered Bo La Lot (worth a try) and tofu fresh rolls (pretty average, good sauce though).Overall a good meal for restaurant week price, but probably won’t come back for regular price.

Super tasty Vietnamese restaurant although all the dishes are not quite Vietnamese haha. The catfish claypot is amazing!!! The fish is sooo moist and flavorful. The caramelized onion in the claypot is so good with rice. Cumin lamb is also super good! The lamb meat is tender and flavorful but mot salty and overly oily. The papaya salad is also great with grilled shrimp.

I take all my guests to this neighborhood treasure! Love it all except the catfish pot... Imperial rolls are tasty, the drunken chicken is sweet and yummy, and the service is swift...so if you want to finish your cocktail, order your food after you are half way thru the drink.

I came here yesterday with my fiancé for a belated Valentine’s dinner. I found out about this place originally via one of those “top 50” restaurant lists, and let me tell you…this place is phenomenal! Those top restaurant lists always leave me a little skeptical, but Monsoon is the real deal. The whole time my fiancé and I were just in awe of how good it actually was, and we will be back for sure. We got the fresh rolls (pictured) and chicken wings for apps, lamb and pork chops for our mains, and the banana bread (pictured) for our dessert. All were awesome, and we would definitely recommend! The vibe of this place is also really nice. Decor reflects fine dining, and is unique. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We originally had outdoor reservations, but liked the inside so much we figured we would eat inside. In terms of outdoor space, they do have heaters in case you go during a chilly night, and the dining is on the patio/side walk area.
