Expensive, best when fresh, kept the doors/windows open for ventilation, celebrated national doughnut day by donating to charity.
Best doughnuts around, would 100% recommend. All vegan but you can’t tell also has good coffee
This place does not use dairy or egg in their donuts, and it really shows. Probably the blandest (and most expensive!) donut I've ever eaten in my life. Even if I were I vegan (and I was for a period of time) I would rather skip out on this donut. Also, my partner's hot chocolate would be more adequately described as steamed milk, and likewise my mocha was just a latte. The coffee itself was good I guess? I feel like I got robbed honestly.
I was leaving Cycle Dogs (LOVE YOU CYCLEDOGS)_and was wanting something sweet. Standing out on the sidewalk, hoping there was some place nearby other than 7-11 I could pick up a treat, I was so shocked to learn that the place literally next door was vegan donuts. I know, I know....after learning about them, I should know, but I am new to Seattle so give me some slack ;).I went in and got their seasonal special, which was an Orange Blossom and a French Toast Donut. I was very happy with these two. It's not 5 starts becasue I was a little taken a back when I was charged a $1 for Soy Milk in my coffee instead of cow milk. That's a huge rip off.So, what I have learned is they are not a vegan business (which is fine!) but all their donuts are vegan.... it just took my head a minute to wrap around this business model. Anyway....I don't think I have ever paid the "vegan milk tax" as high as this before. The lesson is donuts yes, but get your dairy free coffee elsewhere.
Amazing vegan donuts & the staff is always friendly & quick to get my coffee order out even when it’s busy. Great place to start your morning!
Macchiato was much better than you’d expect from a donut shop
My fave doughnut spot in Seattle so far! They make delicious cake doughnuts. I usually go for the old fashioned, cinnamon or coconut flavors! Solid coffee too.
Found out today they serve dairy milk. I wouldn't trust a non-vegan to call a meal vegan, and I don't trust mighty-o. Even if the doughnuts really are plant based I don't want to help fund the forcible impregnation and slaughter of cows, even inadvertently. Won't be going here again.Veganism is not a label, it's not an identity and it's not a diet. Veganism is a moral philosophy.
Love the consistent texture of this donut, it is more like a cake. Light frosting with bold flavor. Well behaved kids friendly. Wonderful season specialties. This location appears to have staff that enjoy their work which adds to a sense of well needed lightness in Ballard. Eat your view. Tip well.
Yummy vegan doughnuts! My personal fav is lemon poppy seed!!! Stop by here for a delicious doughnut and friendly, fast service! Love this place!!!
