I was really let down by the vegan chocolate chip. They tasted like there was way too much baking soda in them. It was terrible. This maybe was a one time mistake? Not sure... ordered online and did not go into the store. Considering this is a cookie shop their cookies should be much better then they were tonight.
What a find! A very small cookie shop. No need for anything else. Just good ol yummy cookies.Selections are plenty and customer service was welcoming.
It was late. I was a little drunk, and somewhere in Seattle, there were some cookies with my name on them. I ordered from the first place that popped up on doordash, and of the 6 cookies I ordered, one of them was incorrect. I ordered an M&M cookie and got a second birthday cake cookie, which is unfortunate because the birthday cake cookie was my least favorite. Either way, I thought it's worth mentioning, but overall, its no a big deal and not a factor in my star rating.The reason for my low rating is because these cookies were just not that good. All six of them, and I got 5 different ones. They're not terrible; I still ate them, but they're nothing to write home about. That took me by surprise given that they have the word cookie in their name. I love cookies, and I honestly can't think of another place who's cookie I wouldn't prefer over these. The only way I can see myself giving this place another shot is under the exact conditions as before. It'll need to be late, and I'll need to be drunk. Because if its not late, I can order from somewhere else, and if its late and I'm sober, I can just drive to QFC. They're open until 12 and the bakery cookies are honestly a step up from these and significantly better value.
To preface - I came around 11PM and they only had white chocolate and vegan cookies and cream left. It's extremely likely that the other flavors bump Midnight Cookie to a 4 or 5 star under the assumption that they're sold out for a reason (that they're really good). Because I didn't get the chance to try some of the more special flavors and was limited to these two which are pretty standard and normal, I felt like my visit was pretty average. Cookies are always tasty and there's nothing wrong here, but these two don't differ too much from store bought cookies.The cookies here are bigger than normal, but that doesn't mean you don't eat them in one go. You begin by staring in awe at the size and then you indulge. They're have a very sugar cookie like texture and taste, but they're not completely sugar cookies. To me, it was a sweet balance between a sugar cookie and a regular cookie.I LOVE me my white chocolate and white chocolate cookies. White chocolate macadamia nut is my number 1 choice everywhere so I've had some pretty solid cookies and this one wasn't bad at all, just lacked a special something to pass other cookies.For those unfamiliar with vegan cookies, they're more doughy and a tad more dry than non-vegan cookies. They're made without eggs so you can imagine how the texture and taste might shift a bit. Regardless, they're still delicious and don't differ much from regular cookies unlike ice cream, where vegan ice cream can be extremely different. I'd compare these to Cougar Mountain's vegan chocolate chip, very similar so that they weren't really anything exceptional, but still tasty.As we left, it seems that they closed around 11:20 or so (we ate in the car). Keep that in mind in case you're actually visiting super late and also they might run out of options (or run out of all the cookies) if you're actually craving a late night dessert.
After microwaving it at home for 10 seconds it was like a homemade ooey-gooey cookies. It is a good size and we got the vegan cookies. The vegan chocolate chip cookie is better than the vegan cookies and cream (could improve that more, still good and would get it again). However, it is exactly what we needed for munchies and dessert. Eating the cookie and watching our favorite tv show was an incredible way to end the evening. Would love to see more vegan flavors. We did not visit the store, had it delivered.

In the dessert desert that is Seattle after 8pm, one would find Midnight Cookie Co. on Google Maps as if they were, at long last, stumbling upon a mirage, hazy eyed, at the end of their perilous journey through the Sahara. But I regret to inform the Emerald City that this nothing short of the most disappointing sweet tooth experience I have ever had.I think I had the s'mores cookie and the Thai Tea ice cream? But even as I write this, if not for my friend reassuring me this very moment, I wouldn't have been able to remember, as both were so tasteless that you'd be forgiven to think you hadn't eaten anything at all.Normally I wouldn't get so Anton Ego-ish about something as trivial as a dessert shop on a weekend night, but out of principle everything that comes before and after this sentence needs to be said; to take something as simple, as foundational, as fundamental as a cookie and, instead, pass off these lifeless discs made of cheap ingredients at $4 and $5 a pop is nothing short of a joke. And everyone who visits this place or any of the other locations a second time is nothing less than the punchline.
Casual place, serious cookies:I'd like to echo what others have said about Midnight Cookie Co. Upon entering the store, which is in a less traveled part of Seattle, I was immediately greeted by one of the employees. In my order I asked for one of the Chef's Special cookies and the employee asked if I had tried it. I said no, and she gushed about the flavor of this cookie. Not too much praise, but enough to make me more excited for my purchase.The cookies, while not warm, were still very chewy and definitely flavorful. All the things I could ask for in a cookie with a price I can certainly swallow as well. Will be returning soon.
