I went to Metier to get a bike fit.It was my first time in the shop, and I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is great, and the sales staff are super nice. Their inventory skews towards specialty race/performance gear; things you can’t find at Greg’s Cycles, for example. I’ll definitely be going back to pick up some goodies in the future. The bikes fit itself went great. Todd really knows what he’s doing. We chatted a bit at first and then he was really focused once it was time to make the fitting adjustments. The end result was a bike and cleat setup that is way more comfortable and powerful. I would highly recommend it.
After riding a cannondale r1000 for many years, parts finally started to wear out. I like nice bikes and metier is the place to satisfy! I biked in around 4pm on Saturday and was shown the Cinelli below. Thinking about it overnight, I decided to do the Sunday 930am club ride. Shop opened at 9am promptly and by 930, I was off on a test drive. The service excellent, fast and very knowledgeable! Oh, the coffee was great too, lol. Thanks for the comfortable and awesome bike!
Metier is the BEST!!!!! I could not have asked for a better group of guys to work with. Joseph replied to a basic email and two weeks later my dream bike was being built!!!!! Joseph and the crew have to be the most professional and easy to deal with in the history of like, EVER!!!! I can't wait to have them build me another set of wheels, and eventually another bike!!!!!!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Awesome and helpful staff here! Flat tire on my commute and soaking wet, a quick search found this shop. The employees got a mechanic on my bike very quickly, and they were friendly and informative while changing the tube. They were efficient, even adding an extra bit of air in my other tire and was back on the road!
My trusted bike shop. Andrew is great and Derek has been super helpful with getting me fitted. Great team.
The go-to shop for your "race" bike. Some folks have mentioned they think Metier is a touch pretentious, but that hasn't been my experience at all. The folks at the coffee stand are always super friendly. Ted (I think he's the lead mechanic) is kind of quiet, but once you get him talking he's super friendly and helpful. Everyone else I've worked with there has been great as well.Note: They only really stock the high-end of cycling gear, so you probably won't be coming here for entry-mid level clothing or gear, but where they really shine is in their bike fittings, bike mechanics, and personal training. Oh - and their coffee stand!Anyhow - highly recommend Metier. And - almost forgot - they try to get in you in-and-out same day. No 7 day waiting time here!
Rented a bike from Métier while visiting Seattle. An awesome bike with great service from everyone I dealt with at the shop. Highly recommend.
I was biking on Broadway and suffered an unexpected flat tire. I limped the few blocks to Métier and was greeted immediately. They had the right sized tube for my somewhat unusual bike (front loading cargo bike, specifically a Bullitt) but tragically my tire's sidewall was shredded. They did not have a tire, which is not surprising, but they called up nearby Good Weather and I walked a block to pick up a tire there, then returned and proceeded to fix my flat in their sales floor. They kindly loaned me a few tools (tire lever, wrench for my Pitlock skewer) and a pump.Friendly staff, eye-popping expensive bikes to ogle while killing some time, pleasantly arranged sales floor. I loved the rustic wood floor boards and overall spaciousness of the building. Would happily stop in again for emergency flat fixing needs.
Great customer service and competitive pricing: I got back into cycling after a long lapse. Todd offered great advice and set me up with a bike that fits my needs perfectly. Ted and team handled the initial adjustment, subsequent tune ups and a chain replacement. Everyone at this shop is knowledgeable and helpful, and scheduling has always been a breeze. Bonus - the coffee shop / bike shop atmosphere is fun, friendly, and local!
I was having knee pain and needed my cleats fitted for my Peloton. Todd was great, the fit is perfect and I’ve been pain free since! It was super helpful that they have a Peloton onsite so I could replicate the bike fit at home perfectly. A little pricey, but I think totally worth it for pain free rides.
