The BEST Ethiopian restaurant in Seattle, I've tried everything, delicious. My father took me there when they were in the trailer decades ago, I haven't stopped since. They have the best Kitfo and Tibs, their veggie platter... everything is good and they're generous so you get what you pay for.

Amazing veggie platter. I've never had an Ethiopian dish with so many different curries and veggies. Every dip was so flavorful! I also thought it was cute that they put up pictures of their kids. It's a really authentic and great family owned restaurant!

My daughter and I have been craving Ethiopian food for months. We drove from Lynnwood and took it home to eat. Meskel never disappoints! My daughter loves the green chicken and I love the vegetarian combo. We have been coming for years and they always remember us. Love this place!

I had forgotten how amazing this restaurant is. I won't make that mistake again.

The food was so delicious. We felt like I was at a a friend's grandmothers house. Thank you!

Wow! Absolutely delicious. Husband and I had the veggie combination and the keye firfir served family style and let me tell you, it was one of the best dishes we've had in a while. Kind and welcoming service, too.

Cafe Soleil in Madrona is much, much better and more reasonably priced. Honestly disappointed by the food at Meskel.

Veggie combo is soooooo good. That tomato fitfit is one of the best things I've ever tasted. What a gem!

June 2021 toward end of the COVID epidemic:About the best Ethiopian food in Seattle. Not currently offering dine-in service, but take-out food is available through the large sliding WINDOW on the West side of the restaurant (up some steps). Everyone approaching the window wore a mask, even if they're vaccinated. They have outdoor seating at smallish round tables that you can use while waiting for food or to dine at once you've received your order. Food prep is done to order, so expect to wait 20-30 minutes for your food if you have not called in an order ahead of time. Drinks, including alcohol, can be ordered with take-away.We have ordered quite a lot of this menu over the years and it is all very nicely cooked. If you want a desired spice level to your order, be sure to ask for it as you may not be asked (we weren't, but we like the food really spicy, so no problem for us).

Our favorite Seattle Ethiopian restaurant. Awesome food!
