Ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich and the veggie plate - both were SUPER DELICIOUS! Very flavorful! Definitely recommend!
Very very good. The best middle eastern food we have had so far. The falafel is out of this world.
Gyro wrap and greek fries are both five stars. And the baba ganoush and hummus are both very solid. Salad is well above average for a quick-takeout, and I liked the dolmas. Skip the spanakopita and baklava.Everything is made to order and the folks there are friendly. Seems family run and they clearly have lots of regulars. Definitely some of the best take-out around. They’ll often take a few mins longer to prep than planned, but just plan on arriving 5 mins later.
It just got remodeled and wow it looks beautiful!!! And food still tastes as good as ever, best Mediterranean spot on the west coast. Forever a staple and a family favorite.
I was introduced to to this great food by my granddaughter.I can truly say the food is amazing ! Staff very patient and helpful. I feel I’m love with the Gyro ! I could hardly wait for the remolding to be completed ! Great prices and excellent food .
Update* Place has been remodeled and open now. Just had another gyro and it was just as good as I had remembered it! I had cravings for a gyro sandwich so naturally I go to one of the best places to get food in the Rainier Valley. I ordered the gyro combo with a salad and a cola. Very tasty as usual. The owner is very friendly and treats you like a welcomed guest.

Picked up a #19 Lamb Shawarma for takeout -- it was delicious! The saffron rice and tender, juicy lamb was so flavorful. With the fresh pita and side salad included, I had enough of this dish left over to scramble with eggs for a tasty breakfast the next morning. Will definitely come back again!It's well worth visiting this family-owned business and ordering in person (the customer service is attentive and friendly). Considering everything is made to order, the wait is quick. I appreciated the small parking lot in front of the restaurant for easy takeout! There's even hot, self-serve chai while you wait, for just a couple bucks. Happy to have all the proceeds go straight to Mawadda Cafe, instead of into the pockets of Grubhub executives.
