This was our second time visiting Matsu. First time was last summer and we sat in the bar for HH. Still one of our favorite places!! The sushi is always fresh and super yummy, great portion sizes and combinations of flavors. Of course it’s gonna be a little pricey bc it’s sushi, but honestly it’s 100% worth it here! Get the Spicy Ginger Chicken ??? it was amaaaazing.
A really solid restaurant with really nice servers. Came here twice and both times we came out really happy and full. It’s a great place to get your sushi fix. Our server the last time (Michelle) was really nice! A big range of choices and the rolls are probably one of the best in Seattle. One of the lesser “authentic” Japanese restaurants. I think this is more fusion as seen from their interior so I would steer away if you’re looking for an izakaya vibe. This is comparable to Momiji / Umi.
Love the food and atmosphere
Jessica was the best server. She remembered us for before and made some amazing recommendations for new things to try. Amazing food and great service!
This restaurant definitely misses the mark for me. Ordered the most expensive omakase menu option but it really was a set menu with 2 pieces of multiple types of nigiri when I was expecting a more boutique experience for $100. I was hoping for every individual piece to be a unique piece of nigiri. Fish quality was good but nothing exceptional. Wouldn’t order this again and with the quality, I wouldn’t expect the smaller menu sets to deliver any better value compared to the many omakase restaurants opened by Japanese chefs.
Service was just okay, foods were below average. I don't recommend.
We went before a Mariners game. There was a ton of flies or bugs in the main hallway. Other than that the food was good and service was great. East walk to the stadium.
Great place for Sushi on the way to ballgame. Very well priced happy hour menu. Only complaint is that sushi rice was soggy.
Phenomenal food. The fried oysters were an explosion of flavor to start off the meal The nigiri was exceptional in taste and presentation, chosen by the chef. The rolls were unique and delicious. From what I saw being served that was not sushi, it also looked and smelled incredible as what we had. The ambiance was perfect for a date night or bite to eat with friends and the decor had an authentic but modern style to it. Excellent service to round things out.
Amazing location to the stadiums, fantastic sushi and a surprisingly well rounded drink menu. It goes j to our regular rotation.
