I was visiting Seattle for the first time, walking in the downtown looking for a place to have lunch. I did what I would normally do when I visit a new city to find food. I went on google map and searched for restaurants with high rankings. Many restaurants were closed during the noon. Mamnoon was one of the few restaurants that was open during the noon hours and its ranking was good so I decided to check it out.The location was easy to find from the map and I was supposed to order in the front table before sitting. I ordered Zatar with chicken Shawarma and Baklava for desert. They offered both indoor and outdoor sitting and I preferred to stay inside. For the lunch time the main indoor area of the restaurant was closed and I sat in one of the booth in the front side of the restaurant. My food was ready in about 10 mins and it was served in paper wrappings. I didn’t expect to get the Baklava in paper wrapping because it is supposed to be filled in sweetened syrup but the Baklava I got was not sweet and juicy that I was expecting. The zatar with Shawarma was good and the taste of the olive was more dominant among the other ingredients.

New to Levantine Cuisine, we were pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of vegetarian & gluten free options. The serving staff were very kind, hospitable, knowledgeable, and helpful - making our evening an educational culinary adventure.Mamnoon is regional cuisine of the Levant (a region centered around modern Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Palestine, and Jordan). The Capitol Hill location offers both both dine-in or takeout window —-We started with the Moushakal:- Mezze of hummus, baba ganoush, muhammara & labneh with za'atar gluten free crackers (wild thyme, sesame, sumac).- Added a side of Jeweled Rice: saffron, ghee, pistachio, dried fruits, herbs, rose petals- Paired with Ixsir Altitudes (2016 red wine), cabernet sauvignon blend from Batroun Lebanon.- And finished with Mahalabia: oat milk pudding, mastic, rose, rhubarb for dessert. All of the above just because we had an impromptu hankering during our evening walk and got seated & served quickly … An exceptionally satisfying, yet lite late evening meal; We’ll definitely be back earlier some evening to enjoy a more hearty dinner!

Want to endure a 88dB sound level experience for your whole dinner? Go thereI love this restaurant. I sincerely think it is one of the most underrated (although pricey, but aligned with the quality of the food) restaurant in Seattle. The service is really good too. So why the 2-star review? Well, it's all in the the first sentence. 88dB is equivalent to dining next to a lawnmower, non-stop, for 90 excruciating minutes. I am sorry, but as much as I love the cuisine of this chef, it makes no sense that one if your sense is relentlessly attacked, while the other one is delighted. And it goes beyond my little persona, it matters because I couldn't help thinking about inclusion and what it must be for people with hearing impairment. This should be the absolute base, for all restaurants. If you think like me, flag these places using apps like Soundprint and make your voice... heard.

Great food, never disappoints. The harrara fries (off menu), the hummus platter, brussel sprouts and lamb kebab were all incredible. The kebab was juicy and was on top of sauce and veggies that were so good. They have a takeout window that's great for a quick lunch. They also have a small outdoor area since covid.

We didn't have a reservation on a Saturday night but we were able to be seated right away at the bar. We had traffic issues so were running later than expected. Service was surprisingly quick. Cocktails were delicious and creative. I just wish we had more time to savor!

Really fantastic shawarma

Dinner menu is too expensive! I ordered "lamb roulade". It costed $31 and had two very small pieces of lamb. Wasn't filling at all. Similarly, "Mamnoon shish taouk" costed $29 and serving size was small. Usually you can fill your stomach at any Mediterranean restaurant by paying such price. Taste was okay, nothing great.I should have gone to Mamnoon Street instead of this mamnoon. Food is tastier and cheaper there.

Very nice. Cocktails were lovely, wine pairing was good. Shared plates of various items is the way to go. I am unable to spell the menu items we tried. We accepted the suggestions from our server. It was all quite good. Then off to Salt & Straw for some ice cream.

Tasty and trendy spot for tasty Mediterranean food. One of my favorite date night spots but also a great place to share plates with friends. The bar program is great as well with imaginative and well executed cocktails.

Atmosphere and decor is great. Food no! Small portions. Few dinner selections. Chicken kebab with minimalist seasoning. There is no shish kebab. The red cabbage in the salad and the sauce were too bitter for us.Updating to 4 star: A waitress/manager offered to remove the salad from the bill. She was nice and asked us about our dining experience. Also, it was a freezing 26 F degrees day outside. All we had to was sit there and eat. For that I thank them. They deserved another star.
