Small, clean and well kept shop. We ordered two sandwiches, one with pulled pork and other with beef brisket. Good overall, liked pulled pork sandwich more as beef brisket was dry for me. The flavors are more on cleaner side, tasted like they were relying on the ingredients to bring out the flavors, rather than seasoning or sauce. Lemonade was excellent however, little or no sweetener and it was carbonated.Availability of indoor or outdoor seating, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Probably the best or second best sandwich I've ever had. I ordered the predator, and the chicken inside was insanely delicious and tasted really high quality.Along with really excellent sides and mac and cheese. The service was also very good as well, and the food came out relatively quickly.
These guys are the best!!! I accidentally made an online pickup order and called in to cancel and they were super nice about it and also added something extra to my Uber eats order when I reordered! Not necessary but so nice!!! Also, to the person who gave 3 stars for not liking the tofu, that's your fault for ordering tofu at a great bbq place. I used to be a vegetarian and you should be lucky they even offer an option in the first place.
It's a pretty solid place for beer and sandwiches... I always recommend this spot. I'll definitely be back.
Dope sandwich spot..pretty dense and worth the $14..highly recommend.
We laughed hysterically when we got home, unwrapped our sandwiches and found one tiny roll up of turkey in our “mammoth” sandwich (see picture). The bread was amazing and we figured it was a fluke so we went back a week later and ordered a different sandwich but same thing. TINY protein portions. I emailed the restaurant and never heard back. Don’t waste your money.
Splendid per usual
Tried the highly recommend predator sandwich with my friend. His sandwich was amazing but the chicken in mine was a little dry
LOVED our experience at Mammoth. Sandwiches were delicious and very filling - I guess that's what to expect from a placed named Mammoth! The roasted chicken in the Predator sandwich was simply incredible. I got a refreshing Arnold Palmer on the side, and a slice of cornbread with honey butter. The cornbread wasn't a favorite (it didn't have a ton of corn flavor?) but it was alright as a side. I could barely finish the sandwich! We also loved the outdoor seating, and service was very quick even though it was busy. Definitely worth a stop, and we recommended immediately to family in Ballard! Don't let the greens on my sandwich fool you - this was FULL of BBQ! I also took a more clear photo of their menu.
The Mammoth I knew and loved is gone. The hollow shell that now sits in Ballard is nothing more than a monument to the downfall of the once-best sandwich spot in Seattle. As an old-time Eastlake regular I recently made the trek up to Ballard hoping for the nostalgia of a damn good sandwich. What I found was a pathetic excuse for a meal, with a restaurant riding the coat-tails of its former greatness. The quality of the ingredients was sub-par, any kind of flavor was lacking, the meat was dry and the sandwich overall disappointing. I don't know when we let mediocrity become the norm, but it is here. Mammoth is now just another Seattle sandwich shop where you can go to pay too much money for a sandwich that fails to impress at any level. But hey at least you're in Ballard so you can feel cool & hip while you get price gouged for a sandwich you coulda made for $6 in the Safeway Deli.
