This place used to be great but the quality has gone downhill since the pandemic. "Chips" are not homemade but rather store bought tortilla strips thrown in a bag. Burritos are huge but very greasy and fall apart as soon as they're picked up. Basically had a plate of rice, beans, and chicken with a soggy tortilla on the side. Like I said, this place USED to be better but now is a place I'll be avoiding in the future unfortunately.
I go here ALL the time, seriously great Mexican food. I fancy myself to be a pretty decent cook but this place is way better and cheaper than what I could put together myself. I almost always go with the carne asada but I've never gotten something from here that I didn't like and didn't think was worth the price. The $20-30 range is for myself and my wife btw. Cannot recommend this place more highly!
A small shop, two tables, counter with stools and very good food. Portions are huge (combo plate includes rice and beans) , enough for two. The rolled tacos were crispy and packed with meat. Fish tacos had nice pieces off battered fish. I would give this place a thumbs up! Well worth a second visit
2/15/22I have to say that this place is one of the best if not the best authentic mexican taco shops in Seattle. Family owned and I don't know how long it's been there. My friend who lives just blocks from it says it's been there for years. Open fairly late and are great for takeout and bring home. Their burritos are twice the size of my wrists and if you can eat a full one and your at home, you best be in your favorite chair or at least a comfortable one because you won't want to move you'll be so full. They are a small family owned business and I have no complaints but maybe a couple of recommendations. I noticed when my friend goes with me he gets the chicken taco's and it comes with beans and rice for around $15. The burritos are huge with no beans and rice for the same price. I would be happy if it came with the two sides even if they had to make the burritos smaller. You definitely get what you pay for and totally worth it. If I had to order the sides with mine it would cost over $25 and there is no way I would be able to eat all of it(again because the burritos are so fricken huge)and as a dinner it would be nice to have a couple sides with a main dish. That is actually my only recommendation not a complaint by any means. I'm so happy with them that when I pay my for my $15 burrito with a $20. I have never accepted my change. The tip jar is right there at the counter. If you like mexican food give this place a try. You'll be glad you did.P.S. They did have dine in and I'm sure they will again but because of the pandemic and it being a small establishment they do not at this time but do have a small outside seating area.
I go here many times a week. I eat out way too much, this place has me addicted! It’s amazing and such a good price. Shrimp tacos are my favorite but I’m trying everything slowly and haven’t had a bad meal. 11 stars!!!
5 star food - I've never had a bad dish here! Authentic vibe and what feels like the only place on QA that has takeout during dinner hours... Too many places closing EARLY! They also use eco friendly packaging whenever possible - Thank you Malena's!!!
Great big burrito! Carne Asada. Was not only wonderful tasting but the price point was great. Will become a go-to for me when in Queen Anne
Great fish tacos! Most affordable lunch around.
Great taste and big portions. Asada burrito is very flavorful I don’t even need to use any sauce. Most burritos in other places are bland in taste and need to pair up with sauce. Not this one.
Fantastic tacos, great prices, and great service. Could not ask for a better taco shop. They're perfect.
