Their sour batard bread is hands-down my new favorite! I tried it on a sandwich at Geraldine’s and had to get it. It’s great to have at home with soup or as toast. Their staff is also friendly and the selection of pastries is great if you need to bring a gift to someone’s house.
Great food quality of bakery items and casual lunch with cafe seating. One of Seattles top bakeries!!! Cakes too
Not bad but not that much different than a Starbucks pastry if I'm being honest. Although a bit cheaper and more options. Pecan cinnamon roll and Orange glazed sweets was nice but their savory roll not so much.
The service and food are always good. I usually get the sausage breakfast biscuit, but there's lots of great baked goods. The biscuit on the sausage breakfast biscuit is really good! It crumbles. And, the biscuit has an excellent sauce!
Staff was cold. Latte was basic. Food, although beautiful looking, was messy and hard to eat logistically. The quiche was delish but runny in the middle. My sandwich was good but fell apart as soon as I picked it up and it mostly had big pieces of onion as the flavor.
The coffee is good, but you can tell the scones and biscuits are made from a mix. I expect better from this bakery because I have been to this bakery in the past.
This place is legendary. They make the best ginger molasses cookies in Seattle; I spent 8.5 years working in downtown Seattle and regularly got them with a mocha from my favorite coffee shop, Ancient Grounds. This was my first time to the actual Macrina Bakery though. I also picked up an almond pinwheel for my wife.
