Best BBQ pork in town!Came here 12 years ago when I studied in Seattle and they still maintain the same consistent quality. I missed having their roast pork though (it was sold out already when I get there).Would recommend you to try their scrumptious meal if u happen to visit Seattle!
I have been here a couple of times but now I have the time to write a review for this wonderful restaurant. The restaurant is well-known for its roasted ducks, and they were super delicious and crispy. The staff is super friendly and attentive to your order. I feel like the restroom is a little bit small for this famous restaurant. Overall, I am super happy with my great experience here and I highly recommend people to visit
We went in for a quick lunch with roasted pork and bbq duck. The skin of the roast pork is so crunchy!! It's out of this world. But, on the other hand, the skin of the bbq duck was rubbery and inedible. But who get bbq duck for the skin right?? (If that's you, look for Peking duck instead) the duck meat is soooo tender and juicy. We did have to order two bowls of white rice (4.50/2).
One of the best bbq pork in downtown. The portion is very big. The taste was so good even though it looks unattractive.
We paid for parking to come dine in and was surprised they only have the dining room opeing on weekends, so we had to get the food to go. I got the half duck for $14 and the meats do not come with any sides, so you have to buy rice and veggies if you want. It does come with one "duck sauce" that tasted more like regular soy sauce and i did not like it much. You can but I suggest buying the plum sauce for .60c each to go with it. They were out of chicken, and that's one of the main things I came for. He did butcher the duck in front of you, and that's nice, but don't expect the bones the be cut out; you just have to eat around them. The portions are great for the price overall, but when you add the sauces and the sides, it does get a bit expensive. I would try again next time I'm in Seattle, but maybe go for lunch instead.
Excellent BBQ pork. The Peking duck is also good, but the pork is the real winner here. Love the vibe of the place. Feels very family-run and old school.
Very old school Chinese BBQ place. Got the rice plates and the BBQ pork and roast pork with the crispy skin were pretty good. However our roast duck was too salty and the soy sauce chicken just a little dry but we got white meat, perhaps next time see if the dark meat if better.
Pro tip: the BBQ pork was their best dish. But I think many clueless YouTube “foodie” ??♂️had talked this place up but they don’t know what good Cantonese BBQ is. ? Those of us grew up in HK knows better.?We ordered the roasted duck, soya chicken, roasted pig and BBQ pork. The roasted duck and soya chicken was too salty with much other taste. The roasted pic skin was near perfect but the meat was tough.Consider each rice plates are $10 each ( that’s $40 per duck, actual whole duck is only $24 each), the food wasn’t that good or is it a good value. ? for how much they charge they should really update Their interior space?
I'd give this small BBQ shop 4 stars for food. My favorite is the BBQ ribs - it's fatty and juicy, especially the pieces with cartilage. I usually get it by the pound. The roast duck and soy chicken both tend to be on the salty side. This is a small shop, and there is almost always a line out the door because they currently only allow 2 people inside. Best to order ahead online to avoid the wait. According to their sign, they are temporarily opening for dine-in on the weekends.
Disappointed with the combo as it didn’t even fill the bottom of the container and we received just straight fat. If our cuts were more proportionate of fat to meat it would fly, but it’s all fat (gross and not edible). The duck was also disappointing since we received 3 pieces for $10. Honey walnut prawns are a disappointment!!! They for sure gave us lots of rice though haha.
