A beautiful restaurant that touches your soul with perfectly done southern cuisine. A must try when in the Seattle area. We had the warm cornbread! to die for.! then we had the crispy pig ears.. loved the butter lettuce to make little wraps. followed by the Nashville hot chicken bites.. the homemade hot sauces were a nice touch .. main courses we had the fried catfish . loved the the flavor punch of the black-eyed peas and Jerk pork chop that had the just right hint of spice! For our grand ending, we had the Parmesan ice cream and Apricot & Almond Bread Pudding .. Thank you Junebaby for our favorite dinner in Seattle.. we will be dreaming about this dinner back home in San Diego, California.
JuneBaby is by far, the best restaurant I’ve had the pleasure to dine in. Service staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes, and the plates are phenomenal. The flavors and visuals of the each dish are amazing. I can’t emphasize enough how extraordinary this place is.
For starters, I love the menu of elevated southern cuisine. I popped in one night while visiting Seattle. The cornbread with sorghum butter had an excellent crust on top and was well-balanced/not very sweet. It could have been a tad bit more moist, but overall it was very tasty. The oxtails, as expected, were super tender and melted in my mouth. The flavors of the broth and veggies surrounding it were amazing! That's really where they separated themselves from your standard Southern restaurant. This meal felt like a solid 4.5/5. I'm not a local, so I don't know when I'll be able to come back and re-assess. I'm definitely rounding up and I'd be glad to come back and try more of the menu. In the meantime, do me a favor, and you try it for me!
Went for holy chicken Sunday. All the food was served family style and just over the top amazing. The wait staff was incredibly attentive and informative. The drinks we had were dangerously good. Highly recommend. I would say I was put off a little by their gratuity breakdown - part of it said that the house keeps a percentage of the tips left. I'm hoping that means that it goes to the rest of the staff (kitchen perhaps?) And that staff isn't just losing that money.
I wanted to like this better.Food was excellent. But value, way too expensive for what you’re getting. $12 side of mac and cheese? Come one man…And the service was not great. The mac and cheese was cold, asked for it to be fixed. They just reheated it instead of proposing a new order. Waitress wasn’t attentive either. And then they charge a 20% tip included… come on now.I don’t know if I’ll be back. To pay what I just did to get what I just got left a sour taste in my mouth.
I enjoyed supporting another Chef. The food was good, but the friendliness of the Chef as well as my server was top notch. Would definitely reccomend
They are the most friendly peopleI wanted to give food 4/5 but the bar tender was amazing and changed my mindChef was also friendly and talked to usI think carrots were a little too smoked for meBeautiful ambianceClean restroomsGood quality foodFriendly staffThey made our night amazingHighly recommendDrinks were good as well
Everything was excellent and perfectly prepared.Had the fried catfish, oxtail, cornbread, gumbo, sweet iced tea and the rhubarb daiquiri. Highly recommend.Service was excellent as well
Delicious unique food. Friendly staff.
We had the gumbo, catfish and fried chicken(served only on Sundays), biscuits, and cornbread . Everything was very hearty and filling. We couldn't fit in dessert but wish we could. The drink menu looked delicious... actually everything looked good, I had a hard time deciding what to get. Get there early for seating because the venue is on the smaller side, yet very cozy. There was beautiful art on the wall. Bathrooms clean, service was excellent and food DELICIOUS. We will be back.
