Had good smoked Old Fashion first. Nice. Smoke tasting with squeezed orange, cherry and bitters. But it's not a traditional Old Fashion!Food is great. Had the pork ribs with it side dishes. Was very satisfied. Combined with a BBQ atmosphere, perfect.

Good food but depending on what you're getting, would recommend eating at the restaurant and not getting takeout. Trinity ranked: pork ribs, sausage, brisket—Ribs had smoky flavor and meaty texture, yum! Sausage was solid if that's your thing. Brisket was pretty good but was not as flavorful as the ribs, and part of what I got was kinda tough and bland. Greens were excellent, and the chili could be its own meal with how much meat was in it. The loaded fries were delicious. The cobbler was tasty, but I think it's probably only worth getting at the restaurant since the takeout portion is the same price but does not include the ice cream. Takeout was timely and well-packaged. I'd be interested to try the beef ribs and billionaire bacon to compare.

Brisket was nicely done. Juicy, nice smoke ring and super tender. Service could improve in being more attentive. For instance our server didn’t inform our table of certain items that were sold out as a heads up. I picked three items that were sold out. I was a little annoyed. Also took a long time before the server took our order for appetizers.Overall the food and drink was very good. We also ordered the chips and salsa, queso and fries and the buttermilk hush puppies. I ordered a pecan pie ala mode and it was damn good. Queso and fries where my favorite appetizer. Sad they ran out of topo chico, sausage and ribs.I gave it 4 stars because the food was good. It’s worth it for me to come back and try more.

Jack’s BBQ serves exceptional Texas BBQ. I was in Texas a few months ago and tried barbecue from several restaurants. Jack’s BBQ is better than all the BBQ I tried in Texas during my visit. My server Sean/Shawn did an outstanding job. He went above-and-beyond and gave us a tour of the pits. I ordered The Texas Trinity (brisket, ribs and sausage dinner) to try all the barbecue. The brisket and sausage were outstanding, the ribs were not cooked to a good consistency, but I was pleased overall. For sides I ordered the collard greens and Trinity Chili (bean-less/meat chili). The collard greens were definitely noteworthy, and the chili was good. This is an amazing BBQ restaurant and experience.

We drove by so many times and we finally went inside. The maple nuts ice cream caught my eyes immediately.A super friendly staff recommended us to eat the pecan pie with maple nuts ice cream while waiting for our take out order to be ready. The pie with ice cream was so yummy. Pecan pie and the ice cream complimented each other. The hint of salt in the pie really made the combo super tasty, balanced, not too sweet. We had the spicy Caeser salad, brisket, pickled veggies, potato salad, and cornbread. We love the pickled veggies a lot. Brisket is so tender, kinda melt in the mouth. Potato salad is good and not too mayoi. Overall, food and service are good. We really enjoyed.

We went to the 9th Ave Location for dinner. The food was amazing. I've been to Texas and tried BBQ there. This is TRUE Texas BBQ taste. The brisket melted in your mouth and the queso mac and cheese was so good. We even bought a couple bottles of the sauce to take back home with us. If you're in the area and love BBQ, you have to check out Jack's.

Comparing to Texas barbecue this place ranks pretty well. The brisket, beef ribs, and pork ribs were very good. I rank this place as 4.5, but I did rank it 4.0 because the bark on the beef ribs and brisket needed a little more flavor. Go for sure for those who wish to experience the taste of good Texas barbecue. They do need place rolls of paper towels out instead of single napkins to give it a truer Texas barbecue experience.

Jack's has the best Texas styled BBQ in Dallas. The smoked and slow roasted Prime Rib on Friday evenings is to die for good!

Where to begin because this is exceptional BBQ food. I haven't had this of good BBQ in a long time was about three years ago because there hasn't been a BBQ joint worth eating at. Last time I had the best was in Texas but then that is states away. Way better then Dave's BBQ which I wouldn't recommend, Dickey's BBQ or even Warthog BBQ. Jack's BBQ -SoDo they know what they are doing. Beef Brisket was super tender feels like it melts in your mouth the juices from it shows how tender it was. Ribes smoked to perfection. The hush puppies were good but the meat was the highlight. Best BBQ highly would recommend eating here. I definitely would come back to eat some fantastic BBQ. Super amazing customer service checked in I would say at good points throughout my dining experience. I am curious their Dr. Pepper was different taste then what I had expected in an odd but great way. Definitely can be loud with the other dinners but it's a BBQ restaurant so nothing much that could change.

The brisket was super fall apart tender. We also thought every side dish was good, Texas caviar being our favorite. Great service and a nice laid back bar vibe. Overall a good place, but expect the tab to be om the pricier end.
